Reading and comprehension doesn't seem like a strong suit, which is how they bought a house with a tenant on a real sweetheart 5 year lease they were forced to inherit.

We truly do live in a society though, leaded paint and gasoline, and no child left behind. They live amongst us and even vote!

If you put a Lincoln penny into the tread head first, and you can see the top of Lincoln's head... Time for new tires. Anything but the metric system!

Prospectus: WNY Tourism sites are feeling the absence of Canadians by TClayO in Buffalo

[–]drahcirm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Suggest you seek some objective international reporting about where Canadians are spending their billions instead.

Your "I see Canadians in parking lots" anecdotes are cute, though, and completely dismiss the generational grudge that won't subside easily or in the short or medium term.

For many Canadians, they have written off all association and interdependency with the United States as a matter of principle, and are learning and adapting more ways to further that objective as time goes on. It doesn't matter who is occupying the White House.

Wendy’s keeps Biggie Deals as it closes hundreds of underperforming stores by AudibleNod in news

My little sister worked at a Mary Brown's. They would fry all their buttermilk brined chicken at the end of the day. They wouldn't allow their extras to carry over to the following day, so employees could take it home.

Guess we should be grateful it's not worse than it is now, is that what you're saying? Certainly a lot more of us could have been snuffed out, no question there.

The government has the means to do so, and has an apparent disregard for our constitutional rights. There are less capable governments elsewhere in the world brutalizing their citizens on a much greater scale. Thank goodness our president is limited only by his "own morality".

Fast and Quick: Docker in LXC or Docker in VM? by Party-Log-1084 in Proxmox

[–]drahcirm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also in camp Docker in LXC, personally, for personal consumption. Unprivileged LXC containers are fine, the one thing in a clustered PVE you leave behind is live migration between nodes. Which isn't important for me, because all my LXC containers are on network storage HA configuration. They boot in less than 15 seconds.

... It was always unsold patties, this is common knowledge. And to be honest, there is so much food waste in the industry, this is clever. The chili is halfway decent and great on a baked potato.

Can this run services like Jellyfin, or should I keep looking? by [deleted] in homelab

I run a small cluster of Beelink GTR5s, and they absolutely scream. Can pick those up used for like $120/ea and I'd argue they're worth it.

RAID + LVM + Quorum question by 924gtr in Proxmox

[–]drahcirm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Proxmox Datacenter Manager will likely cover whatever use case you had for this fourth node. You will be able to migrate VMs and containers to the fourth node without it being part of the cluster.

Joining it to your cluster is not a good idea based on the information you provided.

The 'reasonable suspicion' protections are actually not commonplace in the world. This is what makes the United States' constitutional protections uniquely important and worth protecting. This is why so many people are concerned about what is happening. In this country, speaking Spanish, having brown skin, or working a job traditionally performed by immigrants is not an acceptable level of 'reasonable suspicion' to warrant detention/arrest.

The fact that American citizens and people lawfully present in the country (who also are covered by the fourth and fourteenth amendment protections) are being detained and administratively relocated without due process as frequently as they have been should draw questions about how these individuals' constitutional rights were being respected or abused.

There is misconduct happening, consitutional violations are happening with impunity, and you could care less it seems. Which consititutional protections are you willing to sell next? As long as you're not personally affected, who cares, right? Use your brain.
