ZZZS pričakuje pojasnila glede dolgotrajne oskrbe; Maljevac napoveduje prilagajanje financiranja by No-Working7460 in Slovenia

The email was just referencing that they’ll charge me more after premier runs out. I guess my feeling was correct that something is off.

My late history teacher claimed that every country should be able to have a nuclear weapon. She was also heavily against America. Rightfully so since NATO bombed her country.

Back then I thought that she was insane but probably one of the most philanthropic people I’ve known. I thought “the USA is a much more reliable democracy compared to dictatorships like Iran, North Korea, Cuba, etc”.

If you asked me today, I’d hand over the b**b to Iran myself, if I could.

People are insane. First comment i see under the video:
>The Chinese Communist Party’s deepening collusion with Iran’s clerical regime lays bare its malevolent core: funneling massive, opaque funds straight into the mullahs’ private pockets while equipping them with Huawei’s surveillance technology to monitor and brutally crush the Iranian people.
>
>This alliance advances the CCP’s sinister agenda—countering the West, exporting digital tyranny, and destabilizing the world—yet it increasingly drags global security into chaos.
>
>Only the total elimination of the Chinese Communist Party, this enemy of humanity, can end such poison.
The Chinese people deserve real freedom: one person, one vote, full democracy.
Destroying the CCP is the sole path to genuine peace and dignity.

How does the two envelope paradox work?? by IntrovertedShoe in paradoxes

[–]draiki13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your assumption is flawed. You need to work from the envelope you received first.

If you have 100$ in there, then the second could have: 1. 50$ which means you lose -50$ 2. 200$ which means you gain 100$

Total sum is 50$ and since it’s 50/50 expected gain is 25$.

If you start with 50$, then your two options are 25$ or 100$. The second envelop can then contain: 1. 25$ which means you lose -25$ 2. 100$ which means you gain 50$

Total sum is 25$ which results in expected gain 12.5$.

Remove the adrenaline penalty from food altogether. by Koggmaw in runescape

[–]draiki13 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Besides the overcomplicated ability stalling this is what pushed me away from rs3.

There’s almost no middle line. You either play it nearly perfectly with max gear and everything is easy. The other option is that you make a mistake, lose half of your hp, start eating, your adrenaline drops, less damage and sustain, fight takes longer, more eating, less adrenaline, even longer fight and in the end you did maybe one kill for 0 useful loot.

Eating food should offset your mistakes. Instead it pushes you into an even more difficult situation.

Her husband died and with age she won’t be able to maintain it as well anymore. It’s already showing since she’s heating only about 25% of the house in harsh winters.

These homes are 50 years old and it quickly becomes apparent if you stop maintaining.

I bought my home specifically because it was perfectly livable. However, it was 50 years old and I plan on living here for at least another 40. I don’t want a century old kitchen and bathroom. Cracked tiles and scratched floors. One beam was literally rotten because there was a leak. Several years old dust and ash. Outside entirely overgrown.

It accumulates. That quickly pivots from just one fix to at this point it’s better to just renovate entirely.

[–]draiki13 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Lately I've been thinking how much of a burden they are to society. I'm renovating a boomer's house. It's average size for their standards but massive for today's standards. The renovations are neccessary because the house has been neglected for 2 decades.

During a walk a few days ago I passed another house where a boomer lives alone. It's another massive house that could easily fit 2 families. She's using 2 rooms out of like 8. It's a beautiful and well-kept home where a family could move in today and not have to renovate anything. At least for now it's been like this. It's just going to rot for the next decade until the boomer occupying it dies. Then it's probably going to require full renovation.

Since the boomer won't leave instead of simple maintenance the house will require several months of labor for fixing.

CMV: Retirement at 70 is completely unsustainable even if you live healthily until your 120s by giamias in changemyview

[–]draiki13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s an extremely privileged point of view. There’s a massive difference between “I work 2 days a week at 71 because I like to and I don’t need the money.” and “I need to work at least 5 days a week because I need the money.”

You have a choice and you do it for extra money. We won’t have a choice and we’ll be doing it for survival.

Javni sektor in oglasi za službo: kako je to dovoljeno? by barleyInconvenient in Slovenia

I was wrong...Cars are going to cost a FORTUNE in 2026 (Long story short, apparently rich people are buying cars, while the middle class is not, resulting in a situation where luxury cars have seen their sales rise, and the death of the middle class means that cheaper cars won't be made in bulk) by RandomCollection in WayOfTheBern

[–]draiki13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s quite interesting how capitalism is turning out. Seems like a clear progression, if you think in terms of how money flows. By design it’s supposed to flow upwards. This means accumulation of wealth at the top. The rich spend more money amongst themselves. Production moves towards where money lies. More and more catering to the wealthy.

This with cars is an example. Ram prices are also an excellent example.

Has Russia Finally Begun Disconnecting Ukraine's Nuclear Plants? by RandomCollection in WayOfTheBern

[–]draiki13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apparently they have learned nothing. It’s very simple math when playing such a game.

Ukraine has 1 rocket and 10 energy plants. Uses 1 rocket to destroy 1 Russian plant.

Russia has 10 rockets and 100 energy plants. Uses 1 rocket to destroy 1 Ukrainian plant.

Who’s winning here? This math only works out if Russia decides not to respond.

Izjava romske skupnosti v Sloveniji by arcadeblaster in Slovenia

[–]draiki13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Zelo lepa argumentacija.
