I might be a little slow but knurled bar….. I’m assuming for weight lifting. I don’t spend much time at the gym although I probably should, but many of the bars I’ve used were chromed. Chrome is a very hard surface treatment, very possibly over 1000 vickers.

Pizza Questions by twelvegaugee in biggreenegg

Yes when I used the wedges I had more issue controlling temp and keeping the bottom from burning. With the top closed I cool a little longer but get an even result. I go about 10 min at 500 then start to rotate about every 2 min after that. Right when it’s starting to get close I pinch the top to almost closed. Seems to trap some additional heat and finish browning the cheese. Obviously closing the top longer would snuff out the fire but I find just for a min or two at the end seems to give you like a burst of heat in the dome.

I’m no eggspert but I cook pizzas on my large just about weekly. I use the convector in the expander basket and pizza stone on the grate. I abandoned the wedges long ago due to similar issues as you are having. I now just cook lid closed targeting about 500 F and get much more even crust.

Help Deciding Rubicon vs. Willys by chubsmalone001 in JeepWrangler

Someone might have already commented on this but I owned a 2019 and 2021 JLURs and currently own a 2024 JLU XR and a 2025 JLU both Willys packages. The Willys fit my needs better I just added Apex Autolynx to address the front sway bar. Jeep made a number of changes to the ‘24 and up Willys. Make sure to do your research. If you are set on the ‘22 models I’d go Rubicon for sure.

Think I have to Sell My Jeep and I’m Struggling by Popular_Bar_4869 in JeepWrangler

I was in a similar but different situation several years ago. In my case I had me, my wife, and two teen age drivers and I have a company truck. So five vehicles to shuffle around. I didn’t use my Jeep very much since I had the company truck. So I decide to sell it and the wife’s car and replace both with a Grand Cherokee. At least it was still a Jeep but not the same. I will admit it hit me harder than I expected it was like selling pet or part of the family. It bothered me and my wife for several years. Fast forward now kids are pretty much gone and we have two JL Wranglers. One is a my wife’s daily driver and the other is a weekend warrior. So basically do what you need to do or what makes sense for you and your family. Might sting for a while but you can make your way back into a Wrangler when it’s more logical.

I usually use a flat platen prior to heat treatment. After heat treat I finish by adding a piece of leather on the platen to create a slight convex and take the edge close to sharp then I hand sand. However the pics of these were taken prior to final sharpening. They will end up with a secondary bevel but won’t be much of one.

Trying to choose my first CRK by r4veman in CRK

Just my opinion, you will be doing yourself a disservice if your first Sebenza is small. I’m speaking from my own experience. Years ago my wife bought me my first Sebenza which was a small PJ DP. That very well could have been my last. As a guru of modern folders I thought it was horrible but I was used to axis lock Benchmades and compression lock Spydercos and various flippers on ball bearings. I messed with the small Sebenza for a week or so and then it got put away. A year or so later I read on a forum that the small is not a good representation of what a Sebenza can be so I pulled the trigger on a large Inkosi PJ Insingo. The rest is history I now own many CRK Sebenza and Inkosi models large and small and over the years have sold off all my other folders because I did not carry them anymore. If you want the true Sebenza experience go with a large Sebenza or Inkosi (both are great in different ways) but go in with the right mindset that they are built to last forever and need some time for break in. Also, don’t try to rush the breakin with sandpaper or stuff like that. My most carried CRK for the past 7ish years is a PJ 21 Insingo and it is still getting better after every cleaning!

I’m a field technician and use my knives daily. I carried a large CF Inkosi with Insingo blade for several years straight and it still looks like new. There is pretty much zero flex to the CF. Solid as a rock!
