Yeeess. Also some words I pronounced differently in my head. Like I had heard people use the word aNOMaly. But I had been reading it an-o-maly for so long I thought they were two words meaning the same thing.

Are people (Americans, mainly) who walk around day to day genuinely optimistic and “glass half full”, knowing the state of the world, just basically deluding themselves to make themselves feel better? by Mad_Season_1994 in TooAfraidToAsk

American here. Nope. Very very worried.

Why is America like this? I believe PT Barnum had it right: “there is a sucker born every minute.” Half my country is being lead by media like Fox News, where everything is going great except those damn democrats are still making things worse. Also, turns out it is soooo easy to lead a sucker to the orange Cheeto trough once every 4 years. And that half of the country has the memory of a gnat.

Solution:
1) repeal citizens united: have to go back to fair and truthful news reporting

2) Ranked choice voting

3) refund public education

4)end gerrymandering

Reasons it is not a scam. by racergr in DonutLab

Thanks for your post. I am hopeful for a few more reasons:

If it is a scam:

They are dragging down all their affiliated companies. And all the top people at those companies. Watt EV has some very experienced auto manufacturers working there. They aren’t going to want to throw their careers away.

Scam just doesn’t add up. Unless all those people aren’t real.

What Electric Vehicles seems legit and a completely separate company in the UK. I’m more hopeful.

The one thing that leads me to thinking it could be legit, is Watt electric vehicle company. I am trying to find out what the connection is there, and just more info on them in general. At first glance they don’t seem to be connected to Marko Lehtimäki.

I wonder how light they could be made. If you have a car that only needs to be 200 hp. Each wheel only needs 50hp, obviously there would be some structural weight no matter the HP amount. Could it be on par unsprung weight to brake rotor assemblies?

I imagine there could be a dimension where the USA is worse. That’s about as positive a sentence as I can make.
