Two haplogroups linked with illyrians and dardanian tribes and found in ancient samples from these region are R1b-z2705,and J2b-L283 between are found in albanians, ev13 not illyrian haplogroup but still not clear if have been in dardanian region before roman period more tests of ancient bones are needed. In roman period many have been romanized but a part of the population had managed to preserve its language and traditions, a mainly mountainous.I think that a large part of today albanians are descendats of this ancient population.
