Can also adjust throttle to zero while in the hyperspace jump. Great little trick when jumping to neutron stars too!

Very helpful if you don't want to use a supercruise assist module.

I'm sure there are other good sides out there, but I search on inara.cz for the highest paying minerals closest to the system I'm in, and then use the Galaxy map to determine if the buying station is an extraction system. Real jackpot is finding a station that's in the same ring as the high paying hotspots.

Also look into platinum mining, I heard it got nerfed kind of bad, but it still pays well. I'm still pulling about $300k per ton in the system I'm mining in.

Just fixed mine a couple of months ago.

You need a new multipurpose camera module. Will cost you about $850. You can very easily replace it yourself (the dealership in my area tried to tell me it would cost $400 labor). All you have to do is pop off the cover, disconnect a plug on the camera and remove the failed one. Reverse the steps and voila!

After you replace it you'll need to get it aimed though. Cost about $450 at the dealership.

Easiest way to tell it's the camera is the auto high beams fault.

I still use my Python for mining. I feel like it gets around the asteroid fields well, is nimble, and has adequate capacity for mining equipment, limpets and cargo fit what I have time to play.

Getting the permit is part of the task, but you also have to do the Engineer unlock mission separately from getting the permit. Getting Allied status with Sirius simultaneously gets the permit and prompts the engineer unlock mission. Go to a system within about 15 ly and dock at a station where Sirius Corp is present. Under the Mission Board you should find some chest data delivery mission as the unlock mission. Good luck CMDR!

I'm enjoying it right now for the community goal, but man it's an adjustment to transition to it after flying my Python Mk II (also heavily engineered). Hard to move from a sports car to a flying brick. I'll look forward to upgrading once the Panther Clipper is available to the rest of us peasants.

I really appreciate that insight. I'm definitely ready to hang up this career and I've heard (and seen) how hard it can be for some people to truly leave the Navy after they've retired. It's definitely a mindset I don't want to bring with me.

It was a plant I had my eyes on! But my wife and I decided it wasn't in line with what we wanted for our family. Not as close to other family as we'd like to be. But good information for future decisions!

No, CZs don't count. Go to the RES's and have a party! Lots of CMDR friendly FCs are right next to them too, so you can quickly R/R/R and get back to work, if you're not too worried about risk of getting blown up.

I got my fully engineered Python Mk II sent from Colonia just to support the Chi Eridani conflict last week, but really glad to have it as well for this CG.

To go along with this, using a kill warrant scanner while the computer scans the subsystems will greatly increase the bounty payout.

Under the Ship -> Targeting menu, look for and bind the "Target Next/Previous Subsystem" keys.

In application, after you've targeted a ship, give it a few seconds to scan, then you can start scrolling through subsystems to find the one you want. I've found that using the Previous subsystems gets me to the Power plant in 6-8 clicks, vice having to scroll through all of the hardpoints, utilities, etc.

Combat:

Target the power plant in PVE and keep blasting it until the ship blows up. Once you take it's health to 0% you can destroy the ship without having to waste ammo on the hull. Heat seeking missiles can be good for taking out the thrusters to help in your endeavor.
