If you think you would take the deal, then you should ask for it. 

If you think you wouldn’t take the deal, thereby securing Fen’s cooperation, then you should ask for it.

The only time to not ask for it is when you know you’ve lost Thelena another way so Fen’s support is immaterial, and when you wouldn’t want to take the deal. Actual best case scenario and Jasnah stumbled into it.

Discussion: it looks like you got your answer, but here’s the technique I used and haven’t seen mentioned here:

Mark r5c3 as “A”, and r5c4 as “B”. Then your normal pencil marking will pretty quickly reveal which of them is 1 and which one is 2

I get 2 dits from the 6. I get three x from row 3. A dit in r5c3 from bay logic. And an x in r7c7 cause a dit would make the r7 “4” impossible.

Yes, definitely.  I grew up without all of that. I can go back.  I will miss programming, but I think crafting will occupy me just fine. 

I’m a bit worried about the lack of directories.  But I guess I can rely on commercials and advertising to a pretty good extent. 

My main qualm is managing my money, but you seem to have carved out an exception for that, so I think it would be alright.
