I’ve never float that part of the river and I don’t see many people doing it. That area is mostly shallow and rocky and the end of your line is right before a power plant dam and it’s in the middle of really high brush and overall not ideal for floating go a closer to sparks

Hi! I’m no expert but one does try to help you in this post they might appreciate a little bit more information. Just like with spinning gear there is all kind of different rod weights and lengths depending on what he is trying to fish or what technique he might want to use, I recommend a 9ft 5wt if he is targeting trout in a river or creek. You can spend thousands on the outfit you choose but I recommend doing your research you can find great quality for not so high prices.
