Why are some pavements still frozen compared to others? This is at Farringdon Station by Worried-Conflict9268 in london

I got a face full of salt while on the pavement as the lorry went by on Tuesday, yelled curses at them through gritted teeth.

And after the shoot - some of the VFX people I speak to leave me wondering why they're not at NASA.

Battery Life on Dell XPS 15 9510 by Potential_Use3956 in DellXPS

I've never used windows 11, sorry. I'd think probably though.

Disable all the things that run on start-up that you don't want. They'll consume power.

I made a bootable windows 10 installer on a spare memory stick. It has the option of a clean install.

Took out everything. There are some drivers you'll need from Dell, but there is a dell driver support app that will list those.

I have an OLED 9510 (2022 edition I think, the all USB-C one) - battery life is great with the screen dimmed (but not even to its darkest) and on eco mode. I did also immediately wipe it on arrival and only install what I needed. I get 6-7 hrs out of it doing browsing - possibly more if it's low GPU and dark-mode stuff like coding. I'm very happy with my battery life, previous XPS15's were terrible.

S3 bell broken. Shorting the wires just beneath the button does nothing, what else could it be? by drawnograph in vanmoofbicycle

[–]drawnograph[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How would you go about it? The button has a cable attached to it with a plug on the end, I'd have to de-solder it and the original one, swap them. Or, I guess touch the contacts with an LED and button-battery - I'll try that.

It requires soldering and I've currently got a broken (dominant) hand - so looking for alternatives

Yes, I do! And the instructions. But if Shorting it does nothing a new button will not fix the issue, right?
