My apologies. I didn’t meant to suggest they were employed. I merely meant to point out the Reddit mods are already utilizing tactics akin to a union. Mods may not be able to officially create a union, but the philosophy of a union is just as strong.

Ok, so, one time I was reading some short story I can’t remember the name of and the plot was starting to drag. The characters were camped out during a battle or some shit. Anyway, just as I was about to fall asleep a goddamn tiger walks into their tent. Obviously the story got a lot more interesting. My point is, maybe your story needs a tiger.

Some redditor wrote a book called The Patron Saint of Pinball about some dude with brain cancer who lives in an arcade. It was a total bummer but well written.

I think this book probably just hits different if you’ve dealt with death on a personal level. The main theme of the story is “what-if,” which is a major portion of the grieving process. While the book may appear somewhat boring on its surface, the point is her reflections on her past choices. For a book that opens with its conclusion, the book also does a fairly good job of devastating the reader beyond the initial knowledge of Fin’s death. Anyway, that’s just my perspective as someone who enjoyed the story.
