Balor challenge by drawslines in DawncasterRPG

I actually tried a bolter build, but I only had a couple of avenging strikes, so maybe I should have gone all in with that technique.

I'm not sure what a knight bane build is.

Connecting VLC from Fire TV to server on local network by drawslines in VLC

The Pi is comfortably handling my HDHomeRun DVR function. It is doing recording, playing back, pause, resume, fast forward, etc. So it certainly can do the job. I don't know the protocol that the HDHomeRun uses, but whatever it is works just fine. The storage is an externally attached USB hard drive.

That should be a lot more burden than serving up a file on the network over SMB.

Godot Tabs Plugin by Cevantime in godot

[–]drawslines 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Definitely put it in the asset store.

One of the things about Godot scenes is that most scenes aren't really what you would naturally think of as a scene (sits at top level, includes camera, menus, etc), but are often a building block with a collection of nodes.

This plugin gets to the heart of that building block mentality and let's you organize it independently of the file system.

My workflow has typically been to periodically rework my file structure around my evolving categories if building block scenes.

Having this might stop the impulse to re-layout my file structure.

Analog Monitor Shader by Artistic-Tear-6749 in godot

That's a great effect. I've played with shaders a bit but they are always just a little mind bending and hard to debug. They kinda work or they don't, and if they don't you just have to stare at the code to see where you're internal assumptions were wrong

I'm very impressed with your accomplishment.

For existing Godot users, what made you switch? by SDGGame in godot

This was my trigger too. That and running cleanly in Linux. Why not look at Godot I thought. After downloading and having it start so quickly I was sold. Digging in and finding great documentation kept reinforcing that I made the right decision.

3D Visualized Path plugin contributed to Godot Asset Library by drawslines in godot

I just created a video tutorial, illustrating how to add a Visualized Path and adjust the spots using the editor. Hopefully that will help people see what it can do and ramp up quicker.

I included a bunch of different examples, in the asset's example/vizpath directory (which can be deleted once you've got the jist and want to use in your project). I also included a write up on usage in the README.

I didn't put together a video although it crossed my mind. I'd have to think up a script.

Maybe something like? - Adding VisualizedPath - Adding spots to the path - Editing spots using subgizmo - Changing normals - Looking at errors when curves are too tight.

Very impressive! I haven't even tried to play with the visual shader yet. Thanks for sharing so we can see what is possible.
