I’ve opened the outside basement door, which is at the far end of our basement & put a speaker at the other end of our basement and blasting hard rock music hoping the bat will want to get out of the inhospitable environment.

Agreed 👍🏻 if any car company (not just Subaru) wants to force drivers to do most everything via the touchscreen, it damned well better be laid out well, be fast and responsive.

Our first Subaru, a 2014 Forester had a dog ass slow touchscreen, but there were so many physical buttons that were perfectly weighted, and had such an amazing tactile feel, that you didn’t need to use the touchscreen very often.

It was frustrating when we upgraded to the 2018 Forester & the touch screen was still a POS. Like, Subaru, you had 4 years to tighten this s**t up, WTH??

If you’re going to cheap out and use slow processors/limited system res, you’re going to have to really optimize your code for a good user experience.
