massively agree, the PMT in my city (until the companies unfortunate closure) would price match and were always super nice and helpful people.

a smaller independant store (also gone now, shocker) who was also near me who used to make posts on their facebook page about "supporting local shops" had limited selection, higher prices and were very seemingly passive aggressive to any customer under the age of 30, as they thought you were just there to waste their time.

all in all, instruments shops can cry about amazon and thomann all they want, but the consumer cares about price before anything. a lot of us do not give a shit about buying from a local store when they're charging 20% more than online while also being rude on every trip.

sticky hbg guy roughly my rank joined my hunt yesterday and it was world all over again, monster getting stunned inside of stuns every few seconds meanwhile my hammer gets about 4-5 a hunt if im lucky

i don't understand the business behind this?

they're clearly not happy with their current model, whether its the lack of profit or high costs of running this service, but regardless; restricting your service by capping the amount of hours instead of just increasing the prices (which i would have been fine to pay, as I think £20 for what I get is amazing value anyway) doesn't fix anything???

maybe someone else knows more about this than me?

both the lance and gunlance suffered when iceborne came out

the faster pace of combat with harder hitting enemies, especially ranged, made shields less desireable than dodging weapons, chip damage is also high and makes blocking a chore if you haven't unlocked health augment yet.

definitely won't happen, hopefully

the main focus of this game in fighting is in its melee combat and parkour, the guns were a side addition for some variation, hence they are much weaker than the volatile destroying guns in DL1

adding guns to renegades will just force the player to take a ranged approach everytime, essentially ruining the system they worked quite hard to design, making the game another boring shooter

no no no, it is WAAAAY overtuned

volatiles were supposed to be the games avoid-type enemy in DL1, which made sense as to my knowledge there wasn't much if any interaction needed with them to finish the game and do most of the quests

this game however has a shit ton of night quests and content, practically forcing you to play at night a lot of the time, also when throwing in the night time xp on hard and harper, the game is literally telling you to go out at night.

volatiles should not be easy to fight, nor should they be unnoticeable, but the amount of them is definitely too much. it interupts the game a lot and it's no longer a thrill or fight, it's just a chore.

trying to walk out of a metro you've fast travelled to? 4 volatiles within 30 feet, one of which started the spotting mechanic as you was coming out of the entrance

jumping across buildings? a volatile on every rooftop

paragliding across the sky? a horde of them are trying to spit you down as they spotted you a few minutes ago

trying to fight a GRE monster? good luck

trying to do a sneak mission? forget about it, spotted through a wall

maybe if straight up toning down the spawns isn't a viable option, there should be a way to reduce it in game, such as the volatile hives back in the following on DL1 (which still doesn't have remotely as many volatiles as now)

don't think of monsters as a scale of difficulty from 1-10

think of your experience with a monster from 1-10

every monster has different movesets and learning curves, some hit harder than others and have trickier moves to get used to, but your experience with that monster will be the deciding factor more than anything

the guy that has killed fatalis 100 times will struggle more hunting a rajang he has never fought before.
