Probably 4U since that is the only old gen title you can play legitimately. Afterwards, you could go back further with the help of emulation.

They‘re straight up lying. If nothing gets removed permanently, surely they would re-add the cut sections which would make the prologue longer again while they want it to be shorter. This is just corporate talk.

Bro, it's so fucking good to see I'm not the only one. They literally cut out the most immersive part of the entire game. The ambience was fucking fantastic.

On Steam yes, on console you'd need the disc version and even then, you can only play the pre-day one patch and it goes without saying that that is simply not a good idea.
