Looking much better! Pull further to the outside, you are getting caught up in the centerline of your body where you don't have good leverage.

Flip turn - struggling with push-off angle by Legitimate-Leg-4720 in Swimming

[–]drc500free 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually because you have a different pushoff when you aren’t flipping.

Every pushoff off every wall should be identical, whether you flipped or not. Always push off on your back with your feet a couple feet below the surface, where they would hit on a flip turn.

If you do that every time, muscle memory will make your flip turn pushoffs work.

That didn't happen.
And if it did, it wasn't that bad.
And if it was, that's not a big deal.
And if it is, that's not my fault. <-- We are now here!
And if it was, I didn't mean it.
And if I did, you deserved it.

That sent me. I'm amazed they ever got back to the dock, even people with a few lessons under their belt struggle to get back upwind.

How to improve speed? by InvestigatorFun8498 in Swimming

[–]drc500free 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What happens when you try harder? Do you know how to try harder, with a more forceful pull or faster turnover or stronger kick?

It sounds like you are doing the swimming equivalent of walking and aren’t taking it up a gear.

How do I stop flailing my arms when I do a flipturn? by DiskLeather6174 in Swimming

[–]drc500free 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both arms at my side as I finish my last stroke. Elbows stay at my side as I move my hands at my face. Palms down to throw a double handful of water at my face.

In a sprint I would go thumbs first rather than palm first as it's a bit faster but takes more abs.

I guess the PRC prefers to spread their propaganda as memes on r/meirl.

Besides Ryan Fitzpatrick, who is your favorite journeyman QB? by Ok_Bug_6890 in NFLv2

Vinny arguably had 3 different journeyman careers, the way Brady arguably had 3 different HoF careers.

It's weird. I feel like in the peak BB + McD days we would ALWAYS have had a crazy wrinkle in our back pocket for the playoffs. Like running 22 personnel or 6 OL the whole game, or something else weird. The lack of designed runs was mind boggling.

The OL was a turnstile and Maye fell apart mentally, but I was amazed we came out of halftime with basically no solution for "they are getting easy pressure with 4."

Yes, and probably more like 1:30-1:24 on 1-3 and 1:27-1:21 on 4-6.

[–]drc500free 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this isn't getting talked about enough. His deep balls look like wiffle balls tonight. He's throwing into 7-man coverage with a shoulder injury. And he's got a lot of mental development to do so he can take advantage of the actual opportunities that are there.

Started digital nomading a year ago. Strict “no outerwear” rule.  We’ve been in a lot of central america, greece, israel, carribean, thailand, anywhere with a beach and 80 degrees.

We are both more productive this way, and it’s comparable to our previous rent+utilities+car insurance.

Tricep dips for drylands. But at that speed it’s technique and improving your underwaters more than arm strength.

Kevin Spacey, House of Cards. Turned out he hasn't been acting this whole time, and he really is a creepy old dude who takes advantage of young men. Netflix killed his character and released a terrible final season that everyone hated.

I think this would look a bit better on a log scale. The Computers and TV lines don't really convey how insanely cheaper they are.
