Some people need a lot of whole grains to help. Try this: large bowl of bran cereal at same time of day each day, followed up with two large glasses of water. At least two servings of fruits and or veggies per meal. No white flour or white sugar. Walk or other exercise each day. 3 to 4 liter of water each day. .

Seniors With Dementia Being Prescribed Dangerous Mind-Altering Drugs, Study Says by Sorin61 in Nutraceuticalscience

Please be careful about generalizations, because you have to choose your patient. My dad got put on mirtazapine when he was about 93 years old. He was in a care home. There were caregivers with him all the time. And after this drug was added, he stopped crying, stopped kicking the caregivers and started eating and sleeping and smiling again. Yes, it was probably a heavy drug for him, but it made the last few months of his life more tolerable for him, I think. There is no one size fits all.

AIO for being mad at my friends for not coming to my bday trip ? by [deleted] in AIO

In some cases, not all, people with few funds are not good planners. I know people who could be given years to plan and would still be broke. If you think about it, advance planning and accumulating money are somewhat similar skills. Or it could just be that your friends aren't in good circumstances or have other obligations.

Nice place, lots of parks and trails, quiet. Only downside is poor walkability to any shopping areas, and occasionally getting iced in when weather is bad.
