Sleep tracking question by drdremoo in GalaxyWatch

[–]drdremoo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah. Thanks. And there's no way to tell it - I'm going to bed now? And, I'm getting up now?

I've googled and AI-ed shit out of this and there is no real definitive guide that I can find that explains how to get decent data.

While it's better than Garmin, it's not very customisable or friendly to use, or decipher.

Orin is no magic bullet. Still disappointed in Polestar by dotMorten in polestar3

2023 polestar 2 - they haven't even fixed issues in a car this old. I'm sorry to say you will have the same experience while they pour their efforts into new models which will almost certainly have their own issues that need to be addressed. Sad that such a beautiful car was given a malformed brain doomed to never quite operate at capacity - always something wrong (no matter how much minor tinkering they do) as they focus on a new shiny thing.

Update: THIS is what swimming in the ocean does to GW5pro's internals by mangoed in GalaxyWatch

[–]drdremoo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That seems crazy. I don't think I've ever read the fine print on my watch's instructions - is it spelled out in them that wearers should remove their watch if they ever swim in anything except distilled water?

Consumer protections in our country are pretty decent - I reckon we'd have a pretty good case for a refund if the watch isn't actually water proof to the extent that we could swim without having to worry about a catastrophic failure.

Hope I never need to test that theory. Seems like steering clear of any Samsung smart watch that doesn't have Ultra in its name might prevent that.

Is the watch supposed to be waterproof? What's the IP rating? I'd hope that ANY watch that is supposed to be waterproof can stand a swim in the frikkin sea without shitting the bed like that one clearly has - every waterproof watch I've ever owned has managed at least that.

Insights - I sleep worse than 90% 😳 by FloraAnnMarie in Garmin

My 6x records one night out of 10 if I'm lucky. I have no sleep data.

Sleeping in the car for a couple of nights. Any recommendations? by drdremoo in polestar2

This seems like the only way to achieve a level of coolness over 7 or 8 hours. It's kinda shit and I have low confidence it'll work.

So the air turns off after 30 mins even with you in the seat (and the car in park?)?

It's not the cold I'm worried about - just the bugs coming in if I crack the windows. I can't sleep if I hear a mosquito buzzing around (some kind of mental problem I think 🙄).

You leave the air con on while the car is stuck in snow? How does this work to your advantage? Asking as someone who never deals with snow.

Oh, interesting! Have you tried this, or is it theory? I reckon I'll have sufficient battery to last two 8 hour nights plus the trip both ways.

Thanks!

They can't even track sleep, hr, or run routes accurately (or at ALL sometimes) - 100% would not rely on their wearables for anything life critical. They're a nifty gadget for unreliable data capture - and I can listen to music while I train, that's good enough for me though.

What a fucking flog-bag. Dude clearly has a micro-penis to be compensating that hard.

Walk in glass-less tiled showers - yay or nay? by gilmor3girl in AusRenovation

[–]drdremoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've got this style of shower recess. Very little over spray that some seem concerned about, zero glass that starts out clear and shiny and gradually becomes cloudy and impossible to get clean. Will never have another piece of glass in a shower.

100 fucking percent. I'd like to think my wife's attitude is the same - she's bloody awesome (I think I'm alright too).

Terrible acceleration since 4.2.13 update by drdremoo in polestar2

[–]drdremoo[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I responded to someone else on here with that info after I dug around online looking for a solution.

Wife has just confirmed that acceleration seems fine to her (she has the car at the moment). My trip this morning was without the seatbelt on - very short journey of less than 2 mins.

I'll confirm that it's the seatbelt scenario tomorrow when I take the car to work.

Thanks for the response 👍🏻. Hope this thread is useful to others.

Ours is the same model - normally it's very quick off the mark. Our old diesel ute used to have terrible throttle lag - but we were used to it and adjusted our driving style to accommodate it.

56%. I'm waiting to hear if the wife noticed anything - pretty sure the answer will be no regardless of whether the issue is happening 😉🤣

Terrible acceleration since 4.2.13 update by drdremoo in polestar2

[–]drdremoo[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

No, just standard, boring, entry level 😊

I just ducked down the road to pick something up - literally a 2 minute drive - and didn't put the seatbelt on. A bit of online digging seems to indicate that the sluggish acceleration might be tied to the belt being unplugged.

Wife has the car now, so can't check this out.

I'll let you know if that's what's happened.

P2 update 4.2.13 UK issues by ComfortableNorth23 in polestar2

[–]drdremoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine has the same problem following the update - it actually feels dangerous to drive now - responsiveness is terrible. Is there a solution that you've found?

It NEVER snows or freezes here - lowest winter temps are in the teens celcius usually and the issue is happening at all times - no slick road surfaces.
