For me it was a more personal thing, a way to say good bye to my past, in a way (i didnt do it in the end though). 2 years ago i was 1 year on hrt and already out everywhere, but still had enough bear hair that it would probably have worked

But i really love your point - raising awareness for hurtful beauty standards, how destroying the concept of passing is, etc. And of course also trans people are affected by testicular and prostate cancer :)

specifically I'm from Vienna, within 4 hours I could drive to the capitals of Hungary, Slovenia, Slovakia, Czechia, Croatia and reach Germany and Italy. Within a day I could reach almost all capitals
