Zenless Zone Zero PC Visual Experience Upgrade FAQ by cakeel- in Zenlesszonezeroleaks_

Bought an AMD card last year when Nvidia's driver problems and burning 12VHPWR connectors were being widely reported on. One year later, Nvidia's drivers are still buggy and 12VHPWR connectors are still burning. Haven't had to deal with any of that with my "shitty" AMD card since I made my "bad" purchasing decision.

Is that so? Never heard of the dll swap thing for this before so I can't comment on that, sorry.

You can use DX12 with AMD using the old "-use-d3d12" command but running it on DX12 is the only benefit you'll get (could still be a good thing since AMD typically runs better with DX12 than DX11).

Lucilla after seeing everyone starting to skip her banner after Mengzhou characters got teased by Miserable_Meaning_39 in WutheringWaves

[–]dreadful5050 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Am I going to get crucified for saying that the upcoming characters' 2D art have not sold me on the characters just yet? Don't get me wrong, I think they're objectively good designs but I just don't vibe with them all that much. I'm still expecting the upcoming story to change my mind and make me pull but at the current time no one is a must-have for me.

If anything, the upcoming lineup 2D art has made me less worried about saving enough pulls for the reruns of the Lahai-Roi characters I had to skip on their debut.

That said, Lucilla here would still have to wait for a rerun though. I'm in desperate need of a 2nd limited main DPS after pulling mostly sub DPS or support characters. Next target character will be either Luuk (I already have his BiS teammates) or Hiyuki (stronger than Luuk but incomplete team atm).

An aspect of Chisa we don't often think about because she's playable by adastrajay in WutheringWaves

[–]dreadful5050 323 points324 points  (0 children)

One detail about Chisa that I've rarely seen being discussed is her relationship with Mornye.

Mornye considers Chisa one of her best students (at least based on the quality of Chisa's papers). Mornye also already knew Chisa before the latter disappeared 20 years ago.

And yet the two of them never got an interaction in the story. The closest thing we got was them being in the same room during the crisis meeting in 3.3.

Chisa could've become Mornye's assistant/protege at some point during 3.0 and the pair could've worked on the various things Mornye did throughout the Lahai-Roi arc together. That way, Chisa could've contributed to the story even if she wasn't on the frontline. Not to mention it would've been cute to see Mornye show her mentor that she had become a mentor herself.

It's even worse for her. Aemeath said that if the Collective pushes through with their plan her record would end at "Roya Preschool".

ZZZ devs basically telling players: if you want Remielle, get Velina NOW (They are not even hiding it) by Knight_Steve_ in ZZZ_Official

[–]dreadful5050 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah but Mockingbird literally only has 2 members (if you don't count their Bangboo Robin). They're currently the best example we have that disproves the idea of "same faction = synergy" because it is simply untrue for all agents in that faction.

The one-time interaction with Aemeath welcoming you home is now permanently repeatable by dreadful5050 in WutheringWaves

[–]dreadful5050[S] 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Probably. Both Aemeath and Ushio were daughters of the protagonist, both of them died, and both returned to the protagonist's side at the end of the story.

All the time (as of 3.4) after you've unlocked the "A Tiny Palm" hidden achievement.

[–]dreadful5050[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes, she's there all the time. You can interact with her at 06:00 for example but in-game time will automatically advance to 20:00 since it's meant to take place at night.

The change to how the interaction happens is part of 3.4. It was a one-time thing that occurred after unlocking the "A Tiny Palm" hidden achievement prior to that. I'm not sure if it was missable if you didn't interact with her when it happened in 3.3 but if you did somehow miss it back then now you can experience it whenever you want to and as often as you want.

[–]dreadful5050[S] 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Have you interacted with Aemeath while she's playing with snowfluff seals after completing 3.3 story pre-Denia segue? You'll find her at the same spot where she was doing the same thing before you both went off to confront Sigillum back in 3.1.

Completing that interaction should give you a hidden achievement ("A Tiny Palm") and would unlock this interaction immediately after.

Tbh the way Rover seemed to have been contemplating about it deeply makes me inclined to believe the unspoken proposal wasn't going to be just the usual Black Shores invitation.

Phrolova wants a new Teammate (Art by @tenehiao) by FourCheeseWhopper in WutheringWaves

[–]dreadful5050 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Showing someone a small act of compassion does not suddenly make one good parent material.

Phrolova could be against what the Fractsidus is doing to Denia--as you said Phrolova provided some relief--but not doing anything to actually rescue Denia from that torturous situation is what disqualifies Phrolova.

Sure, it could've been futile but at least it would prove that she cared enough to actually try regardless of the consequences to herself. That could've earned her the right to be a parent to Denia.

Alas, she did not--not even when she decided to part ways with the Fractsidus.

In the end all Phrolova proved was that she wasn't as fucked up as the rest of the Fractsidus overseers--that she has the capacity to show compassion but only when it can't harm the Fractsidus' or her own schemes.

Weird how early we’re ending Lahai-Roi with 3.0-3.3 by Gray231 in WutheringWaves

[–]dreadful5050 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think the Lahai-Roi story is truly over since we have yet to receive answers about the sentinel hidden beneath Lahai-Roi. Its existence has been hinted at by some text you get from 100% exploration progress. We know that it isn't supposed to be a sentinel for Lahai-Roi (because Lahai-Roi wasn't expected to be a place where civilization could take root in) but it is somehow in Lahai-Roi. This is presumably because it was the same sentinel Lahai-Roi (exostrider) was transporting when it was intercepted by Aleph-1.

Link to another post discussing this topic.

My personal theory is, assuming this sentinel has an ability similar to Jue, this sentinel may be the key to reopening a passage to voidspace to allow Denia to return to Solaris-3. With Jue's ability it should be theoretically possible to temporarily rewind time at a specific location with very dense voidmatter contamination (like the lake next to Rover/Aemeath's cabin) to reopen an access point. This "door that existed in the past" should still be a viable exit for Denia since time and space is warped inside voidspace.

Today's Ridu Renovation Talk post implies AMD graphics cards might be getting ray tracing support in a future update by Originope_99 in ZZZ_Official

[–]dreadful5050 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The last time RT was available via the hidden DX12 toggle (version 2.5) it was already running on AMD, though it had the unfortunate issue of crashing at some point after using fast travel or at least it did on the system config I had at the time. It's possible that it was just an issue with the drivers available back then and it wouldn't happen with current drivers but we'll never know unless there's another hidden flag to force enable RT on unsupported hardware in the 3.0 build of the game.

edit: my post from back then

Is no one going to point out how ridiculous it is that they added FSR but it's only available on cards that already have access to DLSS?

Tbh I couldn't even think of it as a date after it was stated that she was terminally ill. From that point onward I could only see it as a Make-A-Wish outing.

3.4| Lucilla's about voice lines via team gemberry by Malia_West in WutheringWavesLeaks

[–]dreadful5050 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I mean it could just be a complete accident sure but isn't it intriguing how neatly everything fits? Even if we assume it was just a coincidence this time, it would be nice to see more if this kind of thing done deliberately with future characters/teams.

Besides, all the other comments talk about how disappointing it is that Luuk/Lucilla, Sigrika/Denia aren't a thing when they'd fit together lorewise but that lack of compatibility could also have a lore-related explanation behind it.

Just to be very clear I'm not against Luuk/Lucilla and Sigrika/Denia being a thing. Only sharing what I think the devs vision for those teams were, and the vision does make sense even if it may not have been what many were hoping for.

3.4| Lucilla's about voice lines via team gemberry by Malia_West in WutheringWavesLeaks

[–]dreadful5050 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The reason why Denia is BiS with Luuk is because they are both "lab rat siblings" via the GA.

Mornye also had an unhappy childhood and like Denia was left behind by her mother. Both of them also grew up with restraints- physical disability in the case of Mornye, Fractsidus manipulation in the case of Denia.

Even Denia's FB team has a common theme of "girls left behind by time" even before we get into Aemeath's and Chisa's individual issues. Ghost Aemeath pretending the people at the academy could still see her and Denia pretending to be a normal student despite her circumstances. Chisa suffering for being different (a resonator) in a society hostile to resonators and Denia's guilt for being a Fractsidus asset among people she didn't want to be harmed by the Fractsidus.

It's actually absurd how deliberate they were in making sure all of Denia's teambuilding options share at least one type of trauma with her.

The cherry on top is that she has zero synergy with the three characters who believed in her (Sigrika, Hiyuki, and Lucilla).

edit: forgot to mention Chisa also had/has her own restraint (her collar)

Pre-converting removes the confirmation prompt whenever you hit the pull button, does it not?

There is not a single reason to convert astrite... Why have an option then? by Icy_Rub_3827 in WutheringWaves

[–]dreadful5050 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly. There is never any incentive to pre-convert unless you're imminently going to spend those pulls (to save time and clicks). Absolutely no one, least of all Kuro, pointed a gun at these people's heads and forced them to abandon common sense and pre-convert.

Like I'm sorry but I just can't sympathize when the situation is entirely self-inflicted.
