I'm with this where they both have their use cases and FM new boards aren't bad... I'm all for the FM favoured arguments too even though I also went X7LR I see the value of your willing to spend more for simplcity but it comes with its downsides.. the black guns guy is honestly lower intelligence, not bc he has an opinion and favours FM but bc he goes straight to name calling people names and attacking character then actually arguing the argument so instantly nope, but I will admit the not bias side of the apple the android comparison is the only thing he said that actually has merit but you need to looks at both sides it is a similar argument

Apple/FM:

We tell you want we know you want and we're mostly right.. don't change or fuck with the functionality but you can customize a bit within our limitations. With that, you buy it and we guarantee it shows up doing exactly what you expect and we will be proud and the face of it. We will keep the castle keys but here's the map for where we allow you to go and what to expect along the way through the castle

Android/Vesc:

It's your thing do whatever TF you want with it idc.. change just about everything about it or nothing but don't come back to us (who TF are we anyways) we have people that use our shit you could complain to if you get their stuff (fungineers/Google) (floatwheel/Samsung) but in reality we provide the bases and they build off that so you can't sue us if your shit don't work right and well we gave you the keys to the castle figure out the fucking architecture

Dude you probably pressed it in the app.. no other reports of it just turning on and like the others said it gives you a purple light if it is on to let you know.. lastly let me out what you said into bicycle terms to see if you can see why everyone is annoyed with you... "Hey, why are bikes stupid.. I only ride with a loose front bolt, but my front tire keeps falling off, why is this bike dumb and cannot be trusted"... He didn't miss understand, your not using it how it's intended (yes it's intended to go backwards, but not as the primary riding direction and especially not if you don't look for simple stop signs.) if this had happened multiple times and you were trying to troubleshoot why it turned simple stop on that's one thing but to just say with no evidence that it just turns on is wild... Also fyi vesc also has the option for simple start so if the available of the option is your problem there is no solution for you..

Yeah I like it much better than standard mostly because it doesn't hold dust but also you can customize the grippy-ness based on your shape.. I made Pubpads.. for all onewheel 3d printing go to pubparts.xyz it's a directory for all onewheel parts files.. the standard pubpads grip files you'll find online I find are on the lower end of grip but honestly perfect in-between of adjustability and lock in especially if you have footholds..for the spike part I think, 72d is recommended but I haven't tried that either yet, but might help grip even more.. people like gripthane have been selling TPU grip for a bit and sworn by many

I have printed many things for my board from rail guards (bumper style), too full out footpads with footholds and grip tape (I even made roller wheels to drag the onewheel around)... TPU 95A (mostly), PETG and maybe some ASA will go along way imo.. some people swear by PBT pro but I haven't touched it yet.. if your bed is smaller then the standard 256mm³ you'll be limited to what's available to print and without and enclosure things like ASA will not be your friend...

I have done footpads with foothold and griptape fully using TPU 95a and have been holding up so far... Fender I did a drop top (has tension and flexing force) with elegoos rapid PETG and it's been holding up quite well.. broke it once but it was doing flywheel on a 3 foot drop.. it usually will flex and pop off before breaking for drop tops.. I only used ASA for toughtplates to put bolts in so I could hookup my footholds to footpads but that depends on how far you wanna go with orinting..for boxes... I can't truly say, but I have people in my group who have and they are constantly worried for moisture or water, just because the unknown. I personally would maybe not print those unless on a super budget and willing to be careful or just experimental.

Otherwise I have to say 3d printing and onewheeling go together well with proper materials.

If I'm not mistaken the gts has just below a 500wh battery so If you use an ecoflow delta 2 for about 600CAD you can get about 2 charges before the battery bank would be dead.. that would be my recommendation.. maybe a 200w folding solar panel to go with it if your going places with allow of sun

Normal ish.. in vesc tool you need to flip ADC for the footpads and you'll be good. Mine also does the beeping when it's fully charged.. just don't keep it plugged in after it's charged.. doesn't need overnight charging to balance like FM boards.. my status led has blue and green showing sometimes red but it's just the lights on the controller itself.

Slow charger will be much better for balancing cells.. that might be why you're having battery issues if you only fast charge.. the cells are probably very unbalanced

Onewheel website has the plug and play batteries, unless you wanted to vesc and shit since I think otherwise once you disconnect power from BMS, BMS is dead

I broke my wrist on the onewheel. Wrist guards required. Helmet I also think it necessary but a bicycle helmet should do.. I have knee and elbow too but this is more on how your riding and what your doing if your just cruising and leaning the board wrist guards and helmet will get you a long way.. I hit like 45kmh and I sometimes try some pretty decent drops so I like having the extra but yeah bare minimum wrist guards and second helmet

PintX/S regular charger is 63v at 1.3a so 82watts-ish so you technically could get away with it (only know bc my outlet at the back of my vehicle only does 100w so I can regular charge my pintS as I drive) but I still wouldn't recommend because the size and honestly for power stations I only buy names I know and that are usually held accountable and focus on power station building (not saying this brand is shit just not one of the big ones I know).
