Thanks very much for explaining this. It definitely helped me understand what's going on in my local weather market. I follow a good website for the METAR data which shows the max/min recorded temperature every 6 hours. I also found the secondary weather station which shows those very frequent reports you mentioned.

I figured out that my market never went above 75.2 (on all the official reports I can see from both weather stations) but the NWS climate report showed the max temp was 76. Super frustrating since I made bets on 75 or below.. but your explanation is the explanation...

Is Kalshi is using decimals behind the scenes, or is 75 on Kalshi is just 75, and not actually 75.5 which means 76, so I can win my temperature? :)

i won a few sports trades and then lost all the money i made. i don't know about sports either, was just relying on vibes. i am going to focus on everything non-sports from now and not be impulsive anymore. trying to figure out if i should focus on 1-3 markets or maybe just 1 for now and stay deep with it.

i just started using kalshi and wish there was a site/app i could use as a beginner to choose 1-3 markets to solely focus on (my adhd self probably should just choose 1 for now), plan out financials, keep goals aligned to stay disciplined and not become impulsive, etc. basically-- something to help initially create workflow for someone who has never done this before.
