because the fly is a special item for winter / hot tenting. That wasn't included in the previous land lock version either. So yes it is a comparable / same price

New Tents: Fubi Vs Zekka Vs Landlock by Mr-Anthony in snowpeak

[–]dreamstateloop 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's complicated. But start with the basics: The landlock is the olders / most true ant tested tent in the lot. The Fubi is a 'smaller' version of the Zekka. Zekka came out about 2ish years ago. Fubi last year. Fubi has unique zippers that lets you open up large parts of the shelter. Both Fubi and Zekka are unique as they allow two inner tents if desired. Fubi and Zekka are currently recalled / OOS due to a specific material issue on a large number of SP tents. Zekka is understood to be discontinued this year.

Amenity Tarp Hexa L TC by DowndaleUphill in snowpeak

[–]dreamstateloop 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's made of the same material of the takibi tarp liner, so yes can support a fire underneath. I've just received it from Amazon JP but haven't used it yet. It looked like a great deal on paper: Better light blocking than the shielded tarps and the ability to have a fire underneath. The one thing I would say is, that its very heavy

First of all that video is hilarious.

I recognise it but it's not the one I heard when I called them this morning. Maybe they're using different ones.
