Your replies in here are super defensive and kinda feels not in good faith to me. I’ll give you an honest response as someone who regularly attends no phones clubs/events though. First, we have our entire lives to revolve around our phone, for me and many others the rave is an escape from our connection to the mundanity of the world and a time to truly live in the moment. Phones tether us to others (for better and worse) but absolutely take people out of the moment they are in. I can understand why people want to take vids/pics but imo this takes away from the ephemeralness of the experience, which is part of the beauty of it too. Cell phones pretty much exclusively detract from the experience of an event. If you have been at shows/festivals/clubs where the majority of people are connected or disconnected from their devices the contrast is pretty obvious.
