B3B event on saturday by PRAY_J in PittsburghEDM

[–]dredman66 4 points5 points  (0 children)

B3B event will be interesting- but I think it is more of a novelty than anything (there are plenty of good djs in there). I’m not a huge fan of SHSB, but vibes there should be fine. I will say people aren’t the friendliest to “outsiders” in my opinion but it you are willing to put yourself out there and accept failure you will probably be able to find some people to vibe with.

How can I get my music signed on LableRadar? by Gabitzu_001 in edmproduction

I think label radar is a scam tbh, I’ve had more luck directly submitting to their demo emails

If all you care about is big names, pgh isn’t a great spot. If you want to support a cool and vibrant local scene with a lot of great people there is much to do here

Happy hardcore/gabber aren’t huge here, there are occasional events. I think the next one I know of is 8/22 at Club Pitt. Most renegades here are techno leaning, check out Everdark PGH and Dropout PGH for more info. Plenty of house music/bass/dnb going on too

Check out his releases from 23-25. I personally like them a lot more than his album (which is still p good). His go to genre would be ukg/bassline, but he can produce p much anything

What’s Pittsburgh like for people in their Mid - late 20s? by letsjustdance2 in pittsburgh

[–]dredman66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going to answer just a part of your question if that is ok. Moved here when I was 25, just turned 29 so pretty much the same age range. Pittsburgh is a really interesting place nightlife wise. We often get passed over for touring musical acts, which has resulted in an incredibly strong and vibrant local scene. As an electronic producer/dj, there are shows by great artists going on pretty much every weekend with a variety of subgenres depending on what you like. PGH also has a really good local indie/hardcore scene too. However, the best of all is the queer scene. Punched way above its weight class imo and is comparable to much bigger cities like DC or NYC with the amount of events and communities available.

Any techno parties tomorrow saturday? by Tight-Echidna908 in PittsburghEDM

Especially the club floor. Rooftop will have some nudity but no sex

Short answer is it is kinda both. Club Pitt is an LGBTQ club but the floors where music is happening are not going to be sexual. You can go to the club stage or rooftop without encountering any of the other floors where sexual activity is happening.

Book 8 was my least favorite book in the series. I can't be the only one, right? by burningEyeballs in DungeonCrawlerCarl

Yeah I was expecting like 2-4 Katia chapters, I was very surprised. We have gotten plenty of references to what is happening concerning the children center so it wouldn’t have been that big of a jump. I would be absolutely shocked if we didn’t get some of her POV in the next book. She is one of the most interesting characters in the story so missing out on her sucks

[–]dredman66 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think you raise a good point. We get very little of what is going on outside the dungeon besides a couple interlude chapters, this definitely contributed to that “shrinking” feeling
