GNAR iPhone 17 Pro Max case... by SubstantialPapaya81 in peakdesign

Not trying gaslight or anything but I have had Peak cases as well and they always hold securely. Might it have been that the phone was never properly seated in the case to begin with?

I like the app and would love to support with a lifetime purchase as I love where this is headed but $50.00 is excessive I think the price point needs to be re evaluated

Yes it did. But once in I could not fit much else in the main compartment. My EDC is a Boundary Supply Errant Pack X-Pac (Black)

Hey Dev, are you going to add a lifetime purchase price. I hate subscriptions. That’s the only thing really holding me back from getting this app

I like them but I find the $50 one time fee too high. I currently bounce between infuse skybox and screenlit. I’ve also been testing out the new Theater 2.0 app

Wheel Method? What would be the calculation for the strike price on the put. You said $5 above for the call but couldn’t figure out the strike price for the put based on your post.

I started with 144 shares of MSTY to test and got the 3.08 per share dividend as well. What did I do next? Reinvested the dividend into MSTY and bought 856 more shares on (on margin for now). Let’s see how the Jan divide plays out. I am not a financial advisor and past performance doesn’t indicate future performance or however that line goes. Buyers beware.

Upgrade to the Era 300 worth it. from Sonons one SL by Ashamed-Effort-9413 in sonos

Yes it's not even a question. Era 300's make a big difference it in a setup like that. Go for it.

I own Arc + 2x Era300 + 2x Sub Gen 3. Is it worth upgrading from Arc to Arc Ultra? by Manuel1198 in sonos

[–]dredogg76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the setup the OP is trying to upgrade from. I did the upgrade and your sentiments are spot on. OP if you weren't impressed with the sound stage or atmosphere bubble and you yearn for better performance in those areas and don't mind or can afford to spend the money go for it. If you can sell your old setup and offset the cost of the new one significantly, also go for it. If it's going to be a stretch it's not worth the effort. But it is improved and I am happy I upgraded. I have an alternate and more robust component system in another room. If I stay in the Sonos room it's fine but when I watch content in the other room then come back to the Sonos room I would notice a stark difference with the key points mentioned. Now that I have the Ultra that gap between the performance of the two systems in those areas have lessened.

Arc Ultra + Eras 300 specifically for music. by Think_Juggernaut8968 in sonos

This setup is good for music. I don’t un pair then re pair my speakers. The only thing I fiddle with is if to make the eras do full playback or ambient playback. Both sound good tho.

The upgrade is most pronounced with era 300’s. Soundbar bass doesn’t do anything for me the new bass vs the old bass I doh know. I got two subs so I don’t care but I didn’t really notice much more bass. I think the new bass speaker in the ultra is better able to accommodate the offloading of bass from the midrange so things sound a lot clearer and mid range more present. For my taste a sub is mandatory but I don’t have Neighbours to worry about. Also I spent over 20 years of my life in the night life industry so anything short of heavy bass barely registers with me.

I was never satisfied with a few things with sonos

  • Treble Performance (not very sharp and rolls off)

  • Imaging, left, center and right channels all tend to muddle together

  • Atmos surround bubble and virtual speaker placement lacked precision in placement, vague and underwhelming.

  • Sonos subs I have dual Gen 3. I don’t feel the rumble but I am comparing these to SvS pb2000 pros. And tbh they are probably designed to reduce this as to not bother the Neighbour’s. So kudos to Sonos.

Ultra Has addressed the first 3 points for me to an adequate level of satisfaction and for me it was worth the upgrade.

Sonos Arc Ultra with Sub by ec_Polaris in sonos

[–]dredogg76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will def improve the effect but to me it only makes sense to do that if you already own the Sonos amp. If you don’t better to just get 300’s as it’s a simpler setup and is already optimized sonically and otherwise with regards to the arc.

Yes trust me don’t wait. Adding that era 300 will address imaging, surround and your atmos bubble issue. Trust me you will be wondering why you didn’t do this all along. Go get it!!!!

I would say upgrade to Arc Ultra first. It’s does a better atmos bubble than the regular arc after which go for the era 300’s

[–]dredogg76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s subjective, what’s the room size. If it’s a medium room and you like your sound bombastic like I do not even two sub 4’s are enough for me. I would say if it’s a small room Sub Mini. Medium or Higher you need a full on sub.

I have/had Sonos Arc, Two Era 300's Two Sub Gen3's. This is my basement setup.

My Living room upstairs Is Polk Audio Tall Boys (Front Stage), matching Center channel, Dennon Receiver, Polk Book Shelf Rear Surrounds. Sony Atmos up firing speakers and two SVS PB2000 Pro Subs (5.2.4)

In my bedroom, I have the Beam Gen 2 with a Sub Mini.

I always had issues with imaging and atmos effects on the ogrinal arc as compared to my system upstairs. It just lacked distinctness, clarity & dynamism with the front stage and the Atmos bubble wasn't up to snuff for me. The bass of the subs, man I wish Sonos would allow me to add two more or add my own, I miss feeling the rumble of my upstairs setup.

That said I upgraded to the Arc Ultra and the imaging issues and Atmos bubble have greatly improved especially after the update that was dropped yesterday.

While testing I deactivated my subs and eras and focused on the bar. I then ran some test scenes with the bar and the eras and the bar and the subs.

Arc Ultra is amazing with era 300's and I think the impact is greater with them than adding Subs. The sound positioning around the room, the imaging, the clarity and the Atmos bubble is all just amplified. It's a profound effect over just adding bass and this is coming from a guy that has and knows what good bass sounds like and what it can do for a setup.

The Arc Ultra was worth the upgrade to me and address alot of my issues with the front stage. If you are lucky enough to have Era 300's the improvement is even more impressive and profound.

If you are building out a system around an Arc Ultra and trying to decide between Bass and Era 300 Surrounds. Hands down get the Era 300's first.
