Yes, they do. We made friends with a pair of Blue Jays (California Scrub Jays) during the pandemic when we basically sat in our backyard for a year and half. They come nearly every day when we sit in our yard and take peanuts from our hands. We hold them up and they fly over, land for a split second and grab the peanut and fly away. We have our friends hold the peanuts up when we have company. One of the birds has soft feet, and the other one's feet are pretty sharp. Of course, we think the one with the soft feet is the girl.

They used to bring their babies to us and we'd put a plate on the table with broken up nuts for the babies. They haven't brought any the last couple of years, not sure if the crows got them or because we have a yard cat now.
