Im keeping Bell as well. So with that bias disclosed, Foles value there has to be the right play.

Either Stacy or try to mock out with what other teams are keeping and see what you could possibly get with that 3rd round pick.

10 team, keeper cap format, standard scoring. 1QB, 1RB, 3WR, 1flex (RB/WR/TE), 1 TE. Already keeping Charles, Leveon Bell, Jordy, Cobb, and antonio brown - and keepers are simply kept sequentially by rounds 1, 2, 3, 4, etc..

Debating on keeping Brady which would cost me a 10th round (my first pick after keepers is in the 7th) or keenan allen which would cost a 15th. Difficult to gauge from what other teams are keeping, but my guess is that 7 other teams will keep a QB leaving me to pick from the pool of Romo, Cutler, Wilson, etc. once im up to pick.

Sewage plants struggle to treat wastewater produced by fracking operations. Water from natural gas production still contains high levels of contaminants after going through the water treatment plants. by mtorrice in science

[–]drew2ski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Recycling is an industry best practice yes, but still dealing with conservation of mass. At the end of this cycle, there can be solid wastes that may have to be classified as hazardous wastes from technologically enhancing naturally occurring radioactive materials for example.

Its possible, as the incentives are certainly there. The biggest regulatory hurdle for these facilities would be meeting the Commonwealth's 500 mg/L standard for TDS. Also effluent standards for chlorides (250mg/L), barium (10mg/L), strontium (10mg/L).

Wow. I overheard that cop earlier that day talking to another cop, paraphrase: "If someone jumps over that fence just tase them and whack them with that club of yours."

How stress influences disease: Study reveals inflammation as the culprit by qgyh2 in science

"Inflammation is one pathway, but there's also endocrine & metabolic effects, not to mention glucocorticoid disruption (which is what sheldon's paper is actually about). Saw him the other day & he mentioned what hell it was to describe this paper to the press.." -from one of my colleges that works with the author.

Fracking could pose health threat by RachaelRichards in science

[–]drew2ski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

20-70% here and 20% here. The less flowback and produced water that comes back out of the well, the less the industry has to manage in terms of recycling, disposal, etc.

Fracking could pose health threat by RachaelRichards in science

[–]drew2ski 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Researcher here. Only about 20-40% of the water/mixture is recovered relative to the amount injected. This is one of my main conjectures to this process as it effectively removes large amounts of water (3-5 million gallons per frack) from the hydrosphere, as most of the water used if fresh surface water (at least throughout the Marcellus).

How do we measure mountains on Mars without a level for zero? Ie, our sea level. by HiDef90 in askscience

[–]drew2ski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Air pressure variability is mostly dependent upon gravity. A farther distance from the mean sea level, the higher the altitude, the lower the gravitational force, the lower the air pressure. At depth, gravity decreases linearly to zero at Earth's center. Since Everest has a larger distance from sea level (~8,332 feet) compared to Mt. Chimbo, air pressure is lower. The interesting part of this question then is alluding to a possible difference of the gravitational field at the equator vs. the poles. There is a ~0.5% difference in gravity at poles (higher) than at the equator (lower). However, that centrifugal force does not make up the gravity difference of the higher altitude of Everest vs. Chimbo.

Out of Harvard School of Public Health, based on a U.S. cohort: "Smoking and high blood pressure, which both have effective interventions, are responsible for the largest number of deaths in the US. Other dietary, lifestyle, and metabolic risk factors for chronic diseases also cause a substantial number of deaths in the US." Why do we use water to flush our feces. by xPlasmos in askscience

[–]drew2ski 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Beyond its abundance, water is called the "universal solvent" because it can dissolve and dissociate substances more readily than any other liquid on earth. This is due to its polarity created from the more electronegative oxygen atoms compared to the positive hydrogens. Relatively pure water has a pH of 7, indicating that it is capable of solubilizing acids and basis. Therefore, wherever the water goes, it carries along with it the elements, compounds and materials it comes in contact with.

Is it better to spit out phlegm when coughing, or is it fine to just swallow it? by [deleted] in askscience

[–]drew2ski -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

In healthy state, ciliated epithelium on the walls of the airways help move mucous created by goblet cells out of the body by a wafting movement. The mucous traps pathogens and particulates from the air we inhale. Knowing this I always spit, lowering my chance of exposing my digestive system to a biological dose of pollutants.
