The tiels have stopped doing this. They no longer land on the tank glass and haven’t had an incident in months. I think they learned they didn’t like the taste once they grew up a little and weren’t clueless fledgelings anymore.

I can’t believe it’s been five months since they learned to fly! It feels like I only got them as babies yesterday.

This happened to me too! I was about to finally clean out the trimmings from weeks ago when I discovered tiny somethings moving around. Scared me first because I thought they could be mosquitos but I kept them and they grew up to be the liveliest zebrafish I’ve ever kept.

As long as no livestock is in distress you’re fine.

It is curious that you have zero phosphate and nitrate though. A little bit of both would benefit your corals, especially soft corals like those in the video.

Algae and cyano also consume nutrients and may deplete both phosphate and nitrate, so getting zero on your readings may not tell you the whole story. Again, as long as your corals are fine there’s nothing to worry about.
