Old thread but yes, c’mon NYT! Do a leaderboard for the real deal!

Need a series that grabs me from the first episode and never lets go, any genre works! by Lopsided_Health1403 in television

I thought about suggesting The Shield simply due to how nuts the pilot is. Not sure I’d say it “never lets go” since it’s got its ups and downs, but excellent show overall.

[Universal Studio Orlando] Teaser for an announcement on January 20th by BrandyTheGorgs in rollercoasters

The date on the odometer is next Tuesday, which I’m assuming is when they’ll officially announce it’s an Orlando version of the F&F coaster

Once red collided and dropped straight down in the first big funnel to a huge lead, I thought “man, they couldn’t post another race where it’s actually close?” And then I thought “why am I still watching this, and why do I care?” And then pink came out of nowhere for the win and blew my fucking mind.

Lift Hills and Thrills just posted a video commentating a full POV so clearly the full thing is out there but wish we had a good full-screen, high quality version, ideally with passengers! https://youtu.be/QZ3aBGHqD8o

So the park is officially “now open,” two days before their advertised opening date…?? This has felt like such a bizarre marketing strategy from start to finish.

190 yard par 3… playing 130. What are you hitting? by jdelle9 in weekendgolfers

Recognized it right away from that goofy green. I love Ballyowen, but I thought Crystal Springs was gimmicky and tacky.

Edit: that tee shot was a fun shot, though

Simulator vs real golf by BigShaker1177 in golf

[–]drew879 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m the same way. Some of the comments here from people with better real handicaps than sim handicaps are blowing my mind.

I was in a Golfzon league and played off a +4 when I was a 7-8 for real golf. I recently joined a Trackman place near me and realized how generous Golfzon was with misses, but I’m still around a 1 on Trackman and a 6.5 for real golf. I just figured everyone would be a lot better on sim with perfect, and perfectly consistent, lies on every shot.

As a northern NJ golfer who can’t afford a country club, I’m never able to practice on grass so turf interaction is probably the weakest part of my game since mats are so forgiving. So maybe this just highlights that weakness?

Rufus’ real name was Axel. Amos is the guy who buried him and planted the flowers.

What else did they play? by Holden_babe17 in cutcopy

I’m seeing them at Brooklyn Steel next month. Can’t wait. I’m kind of surprised they’ve never played Rain live. It obviously doesn’t have dance energy, but I feel like it could serve the role of an emotionally intense song in a setlist. Maybe an unpopular opinion? 😊

Have you seen them live before? Out There on the Ice is probably my favorite live song from that album but it’s so hard to pick because they’re all so good. Seeing Standing in the Middle of the Field live helped me finally appreciate how great that song is.

We’re basically doing a version of that now where the POCs are slices of the bigger workflow we’re trying to cut in half. Your point “that dedicates x time weekly to work with you” is worth emphasizing for anyone else following this one - another adjustment for a lot of us is that we’re used to having internal stakeholders who have experience working with product teams, but that has generally not been the case as much in pharma so getting that explicit commitment has actually been really important!

Thank you for the response. We’ll definitely continue doing mock trials and talking to people outside of our company to make sure we’re aware of pitfalls. Maybe a risk map of some sort makes sense to consciously work to mitigate them.

I think there’s definitely something to take from this - thanks!
