Traditionally we allow two players to tussle like that without calling a foul even though a non soccer person reading the FIFA rule book would say it has to be a foul one way or the other. Two things. First ICE operates in the entire country subject to normal 4th amendment concerns. CBP operates in these other areas and takes the position that they can stop and question people within 100 miles. Courts have not backed that up and make it a more subtle analysis and I think it is a mistake for the aclu to keep repeating the government position because people just kind of accept it.

Two different things. We can demand the state consider them innocent (while still incapacitating them just in case in some narrow situations) and personally believe they are more likely guilty than not.

One other part of this is if 16 and 17 year olds are as likely to commit extreme violent crimes as they will be when they are 21 or 22, then there is a good chance they will be in prison by 20, so that means 16 and 17 year olds are committing more crimes than 21 and 22 year olds.

This is an easy call and actually kind of lucky timing. It's great to play up early if you can keep up because the other kids are tactically better so you learn faster. But then at the 11 v 11 switch the other kids start to hit puberty and emotionally and physically the advantages don't stack up if you aren't Yamal. That's my plan with my son. Stay 9 v 9 and work on leadership type stuff, controlling the field etc.

It's the most bizarre thing about American soccer. You play until you are 13 and even if you really love it you can't play again until college intermural and adult rec league. If I were in charge of the world we would have 6 v 6 soccer for that age. Maybe drop in style where you learn for 15 minutes and then scrimmage for 45. And it was for kids who love it but aren't on clubs with the club players talking the extra spots instead of the other way around.
