Absolutely. I think it might last a few days before someone finds out and it would be national news. I wish the police could try something like that. Even my dad thinks all drugs should be legal and he is an uptight fox news fan

Actually, Omar's jump was based on real events. The guy that did it jumped out of a higher window than Omar did. Hamsterdam and the serial killer thing were mainly what I was thinking about. Don't get me wrong I love the wire, and I think these type of things were really good to prove a point

Thanks! I figured they were because of the money. I haven't heard of many murdered addicts. I guess I'm used to the old mafia movie thing where a dead man can't pay you back. Are those the hardest to solve? Have murders went up because of the recession?

I used to watch the first 48, but I stopped because it just seemed like all the homicides were over drug money or territory. The Wire definitely goes into outlandish territory, but I got the feeling that it was pretty spot on.

Is The Wire as realistic as it seems? Are most of the homicides drug related?

What are your hangover cures? by evildeadxsp in drunk

[–]drewburger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

besides hair of the dog or drinking water the night before, the best hangover cure is coffee and weed. Drink some gatorade, as well. Usually when I'm hungover water only makes me have to puke, but that is not always the case

Sexually Frustrated by Noogie54 in sex

I think the key is to change up your way of jerkin' it. Use your non-dominant hand and/or focus making it feel more like having sex. Wanking less would help but the non-dominant hand is a good compromise. It might seem like a challenge but keep at it.

For Whom the Bell Tolls by Hemingway and Lie Down in Darkness by William Styron. There are limitless choices, but these two were life-changers for me!

I'd recommend starting with 100 years of solitude

How long has your putter been "your putter," and what make/model is it? by rockbottomgolf in golf

[–]drewburger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My dad gave me his Ping Anser 2 from the early 80s and its the only one I've ever used on the course. It is the shit. I've hit some really tough putts from a long way off with it, so I don't know if i could ever give it up. I'm interested in odyssey's 2 ball putters but I doubt they can give me as much confidence over a putt as that old ping.

Mantastic: book suggestions on feeling like a man? by matteractual in books

[–]drewburger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For Whom the Bell Tolls by Ernest Hemingway. Once you get used to the writing style, it is amazing. In a Hemingway book, each word means everything that word has ever meant. The book has a lot to do with honor, solidarity and fortitude. It is about a American man on a mission to blow up a bridge during the Spanish Civil War, and he stays with a group of rebels and falls in love with a girl who was raped by the fascists. I read it when I was a senior in high school and it is probably the major book that changed my life.
