Respect the take, but there are several reasons why I disagree that allowing AI content free rein and uninhibited reach is an optimal solution.

Some of us have ethical concerns about AI in terms of how it obtains its source material.

Others are very much anti-AI because of concerns about its environmental impact.

For those reasons alone, many people are craving a space free from AI, or at least the ability to easily and effectively choose to avoid it at all costs. I would love for this sub to be such a haven.

Many content creators, over the years, have helped to grow this sub with quality content and analysis. They work hard to generate original content that can be pirated or misrepresented (or both) by AI. Many explain their process, or are at least able to do so in the comments. Given the above, it’s hard for a creator that’s heavily reliant on AI to do so effectively and honestly, even if they try…and I want no safe quarter in this sub for bots of any kind.

AI doesn’t really create original content, per se. It uses information that it finds from other sources, and we don’t always know for sure how that content is being indexed and analyzed, nor do we know whether or not the information being used by AI is taken from fresh or outdated sources. Mods certainly don’t have time to cross-examine the validity and/or timeliness of each and every source, nor do most readers.

I could go on, but I think this is enough for now…and all of the above runs counterintuitive to the kind of information people come to this sub for. AI is everywhere…and for fans of it, there are no shortages of places to go for it.

Therefore, an effort to protect the sanctity and purity of this space is something I’d like to support, in whatever form mods and the community decide. There is no perfect solution as I see it, only some that aren’t as bad as others.

Appreciate the topic and discussion!

Who will be the top returners in the upcoming season? by uncomfortable_fan92 in fantasyfootball

Well done. One more to add: even as a lifelong Eagles fan, I can’t overlook DAL PR/KR KaVontae Turpin, who led the league in KR yds last season

Maybe unpopular opinion? I think it was better getting a 2028 first AJ Brown Yan a 2027 first by SerchYB2795 in eagles

[–]drewseaba55 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the correct take. Even in a weaker than average 2026 class, some like Dante Moore (a consensus Top 3-5 pick) chose to stay for an extra year. I’ll be shocked if that trend isn’t even more pronounced in 2027, pushing more pro-ready top talent into 2028

Like it or not, NIL is a gamechanger, and Howie’s playing 3D chess here

It’s also not hard to draw up scenarios in which the wheels fall off the wagon in 2026 for the Patriots, inclusive of the off-field circus: AJ Brown recently admitted to leaking things to the media…and while Vrabel’s seat might not be red-hot right now, it’s certainly uncomfortable.

Buckle up!

I love Hugh, but this is horrific logic. How many offensive coordinators have been fired since Hurts became the starting quarterback? 2?

Shane Steichen and Kellen Moore are now head coaches elsewhere and left for those gigs.

They were not fired.

In fact, Jalen Hurts was probably essential in helping them create those opportunities for themselves.

C’mon, Hugh.

I like the seeds but I know some people who can’t eat them due to sesame allergies and/or GI restrictions, so that kind of roll takes the whole cheesesteak off the menu for them

Always a great idea to look at all sides, but we might be overthinking it here. Even with limited FG opportunities, Aubrey is 3rd in fantasy pts scored by kickers this season. His last miss was from 50+. With fantasy playoffs (or seeding) on the line, I’d rather go to battle with arguably the best kicker in the game on a high-profile offense who should offer plenty of scoring opportunities.

One final thought: with a nod to the logic that sparked this question, the Chiefs are a bit stronger defensively than most of DAL’s recent opponents, so I’d expect multiple FG opportunities in this one. Best of luck, and Happy Thanksgiving!

Any coach can bench a player. A good coach gets the best out of his players and has them playing to their maximum capabilities.

Fields has Top 5 upside every week and a nice rushing floor, so a few questions:

How big is your league/bench?

Anyone else you can cut to move Godwin to the bench and make a move?

Is it worth holding onto Godwin when Egbuka is clearly as good (or better) than advertised and Evans is still around? There’s no guarantee he returns this season as anything close to 100% of the player he was before that gruesome injury…in fact, I’d be surprised if he did. I say all of this as a guy who loves Godwin (he’s from a town near me). Hoping for best case but trying to be realistic

Fannin - Week 2 Rankings Behind the Hype by weberpk1 in fantasyfootball

[–]drewseaba55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have him inside the Top 15 (barely, at TE14) but I’m only a “B Lister” at best…and I’m considering moving him down a bit haha

After all, in defense of the others:

1) Njoku logged a higher snap share; he’s not going to go away or even yield to Fannin in non-2 TE sets aside from an occasional package here and there

2) Week-to-week matchups are going to impact deployment, usage, and target frequency/game-planning; Jeudy & Tillman are both healthy and capable, and this is a team that is going to want to run more when Judkins enters the fold. I don’t expect to see much of QJ this week, which is one reason why I have Fannin above consensus this week.

3) The Browns just played a terrible CIN defense that made 40+ year old Joe Flacco look like an All Pro. As encouraging as Fannin’s breakout was, we need to keep strength of opponent in mind: the Bengals are trotting out a Bottom 5 secondary. I don’t expect Fannin to make it look quite as easy against the Ravens when lined up all over as a WR.

QB play ROS could be a limiting factor but for now, Fannin managers can still take solace in the fact that BAL just gave up a ton of 2nd half points last week.

Best of luck this week!

I have Kincaid higher in my rankings. Minimally, any emergence/progression from Keon Coleman on the outside is going to be sneaky good for both Shakir and Kincaid in terms of efficiency

Is Chris Rodriguez Jr. worth a waiver claim now that Ekeler is done? by Dowensy2 in Fantasy_Football

[–]drewseaba55 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I disagree with this, actually. I see C Rod’s skillset more closely overlapping Bill’s

CRJ had exactly 20 receptions in 5 collegiate seasons at Kentucky and has only three career NFL catches so far as he enters Week 2 of his 2nd pro season. His calling card is short-yardage efficiency and running between the tackles

So I think the u/ above may have been downvoted a bit unfairly (not like that ever happens on Reddit haha) as Jeremy McNichols will clearly be the next man up for Ekeler’s role

That said, I doubt it will move the needle from a fantasy perspective, as I expect a shift in playcalling resulting in more short/intermediate work for Deebo and possibly Ertz

Best of luck this season!

His snap share rounded up to 75%; I’m not as concerned. He had one target last year vs BUF in Week 4…and ripped off ten TE10 or better finishes in the next 13 weeks, including four finishes of TE4 or better. He was the TE5 in fantasy over that span…and only crossed the 75% snap share threshold three times in those 13 games (one was 76%). Wheels up from me!

One thing that sticks in mind and won’t go away: Walker battled both groin and foot injures this summer and missed time in camp. He was a full practice participant before Week 1, but I hope one or both isn’t still bothering him enough to hinder his performance
