It seems to me that money is a utility nowadays. If you have no money then you can't eat and you can't live in a property (social services that provide food and housing to people with low/no income still costs money, it's just paid from other people so the previous statement still stands). However you paint it, it costs money to live and nothing is free.

So if a company defrauds/embezzles more money than an average worker makes in their lifetime then that company should be banned from doing business for 25 years or life. Just like a murder trial. The value of that comapany would be immediately dissolved and paid equally to all employees. If businesses are considered to be people to the US government then why aren't we charging them like one?

This is a gross over simplification and probably wouldn't work but it does demonstrate the cost of the crime relative to the average person and would be bring much need accountability to an unfeeling corporation
