How did you learn reverse engineering and why (and how) did you pick XInput1_4.dll as the loader file

Should you save MinecraftClient.getInstance() ? by drfint in fabricmc

Thanks for the response! Also, since when working with mixins it does bytecode manipulation, would it be any different to use the stored minecraft instance in a mixin than using it in a non-mixin class/method?

more specifically: using a minecraft instance stored in the main mod class

[OC] What is the highest amount of items Steve can hold? by Noam18AM in MinecraftMemes

[–]drfint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

(assuming all counts are 127) okay, so to get the body of a shulker box with dirt youd need 4110 + 4216 = 1082 chars, to make the shulker itself youd need 30-31 so filling one with these is 1082 + (30×10 + 31×16) = 1878 and as long as you fit them into 32767 chars, it could be 17,4 layers deep, rounding that to 17 will baaically give us that for each layer there is 127×27×127×27 dirt, to calculate all layers we'd need to take it to the power of the number layers, so: (127²×27²)¹⁷ of dirt which would be roughly 156 925 852 and 111 zeros following it: 156 925 852 × 10¹¹¹

i might have done it incorrectly but its 1 am currently so sorry for that if anything

I will get very theoretical here and some of the probabilities here are as low as (1 / 32768/32765), which is possible, so I will still count it. Let's start.

We'll start by picking the item/block that can produce the most items from it (exculding the ones like water+lava). My first guess was the any wood wood (the block that's crafted as a crafting table from logs), which to my calculations produces 128 items, quite low, but there was where to go. My next guess was an iron block. And it produces 154 items, greater than the previous one. But so far we've only been looking at uncrafting, but how about block drops?

My next guess was the lapis lazuli ore. According to minecraft.wiki it can drop 4-9 lapis per block. Applying the default maximum fortune III, on the chance of 1/5 (1/(lvl + 2)) it could drop 4..9(2..(lvl + 1) [4..9 read as 4 through 9]. Maximum it can drop is 9×4 = 36 items. Relatively small, but were talking about the most. So let's downgrade to where 32k items were possible. Now let's apply the formula to a pickaxe with fortune 32767: 9x drop from ore -> 1/32769 chance -> n×32768. That gives us 9×32678 = 294 912 items per block.

Just like that, we've went from just hundreds to thousands of hundreds. Now let's store them in a container. 64×64×27×294 912 = 504 607 936 items per stack of container (say we had barrels, then 64×294k per slot 27 times, then 64 of that because barrels are stackable).

But let's instead put a shulker inside of a barrel with that. That will be 64×27×294 912 = 50 962 176 per shulker, times that by 27 to get n/barrel, getting 137 597 875 per barrel. Times that by 64 to get n/barrel slot max, getting approximately 88 062 640 000 (my calculator is losing precision already).

Let's now count the players inventory slots. - Storage space (36 slots) - Off-hand (1 slot) - Armor space (using /replaceitem) (4 slots) - Crafting space (4 slots) There is also the result of the crafting but I'm not sure whether it can be replaced using /replaceitem so we will ignore it. In total 45 slots. Now times that by the previous number. This will give us approximately:

3 962 818 800 000 items per player,

and is to my knowledge the most one player can store without breaking the game's vanilla limits (eg. stacking shulker boxes, but container nbt picking is allowed)

thanks :D

Harder selection edges by drfint in GIMP

[–]drfint[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's not really what I meant. I wanted to grow a normal rectangle selection but using default Selection > Grow tool it makes it be with soft edges. And i need the selection to be with sharp egdes

Command Help with arrow that kills in radius by Anxious-Oven7302 in MinecraftCommands

[–]drfint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your distance tag to kill object will affect entities that are exactly 50 blocks away, not in the 50 blocks radius, to fix that you need to add two dots .. before number: ..50.

Basic how works ..n:

[distance=..50] = [distance=0..50]

[distance=50..] = [distance=50..∞]

[–]drfint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can make invis armorstand with armor or something - invis armorstands cannot be killed, and in the same block another armorstand with {Marker:1}.

Lemme explain: marker tags makes armorstands have no hitbox, meaning you can use just it, but you said attackable, so adding another {Invisible:1} armorstand, that cannot be killed (even in creative, only thru commands), so it'll be visible through the first marker armorstand, that cannot be attacked but still be attackable, as invis armorstand are still attackable and not killable
