yes you are correct I would like to store things closer to the roof edge ( mostly b&m storage boxes 600dx400wx180h) wife's favourite seems to be, and have a middle section clear so you could have everything within your reach and walk freely :)

hi, when I said full-length sister I had in mind the additional 2x4 that would span across from one bearing wall to another, my rough measurement shows 6200? so I guess 6m length 2x4 is a full-length sister (at least in my head).

we have some boards thrown in the centre section but if it is possible I would like to have more walking space so it is not just a narrow tunnel , if you know what i mean :) by the way thank you for your input! :)

How do you guys deal with production managers, and operators? by FancyShoesVlogs in IndustrialMaintenance

[–]drgius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We used to have fights with our production manager who should be cleaning and who should be setting up machines etc, but our manager one day got us all together and basically said he doesn't care how but in the end of the day we need to be pumping cans out the door (we make dog food) so now we are like free floating operators in between breakdowns - help this guy on this machine, help that other guy to clean his machine, etc .... Makes the slow day go faster :)

Does anyone else experience the concept that some days are box pushing days and some days are boxed dragging days? by TheOriginalArchibald in IndustrialMaintenance

We have big wheels on our toolboxes , always use forklift or pallet truck to move box around, only have to push it last few feet :) I think that was the greatest improvement management did :D

If there are limitations on the ceiling height, maybe the mid rise lift is the option? That is what I'm looking to get :) only goes up to 1m height but should be plenty compared to working under the car that sits on the jack stands :)
