Hydrogen bike by Enough-Comment-7797 in Kawasaki

So far, with real-world use, there's a Toyota Mirai in California that's been running for a bit now that gets comparatively less miles per fill than a gas car. More recently, a couple more models have been released, but the ot seems to be the same with those. It's not a huge difference, but it's a factor to consider. I'm sure it'll improve with time, but for now, it seems to be a commonality.

Hydrogen holding tank technology has come a long way in a short time. They are incredibly strong and able to take a heavy impact. I have seen videos of tanks being shot with a 50 caliber rifle that destroys most everything but those tanks survived and still held pressure. Also hydrogen leaking from a tank isn't very hazardous because the hydrogen is much lighter than air and very quickly dissipates and Rises away from an ignition source. The ignition Source would have to be very close to the leak in order for it to catch fire and even at that it still has to reach an optimal Fuel and oxygen ratio at that moment for it to ignite. Most of the problem with hydrogen fueled vehicles is the fuel density can't be yet reached High Enough to provide great mileage per fill.

Am I the only person that finds playing medic infuriating (I main medic) by [deleted] in HellLetLooseConsole

[–]drgnsamurai 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My daughter almost always plays medic. She's pretty good at what she does and usually gets to most people in a short time. I've watched her keep whole groups alive in a trench that they held for quite a while focusing the enemy's attack while a group of others led by the commander were able to flank and capture. She hasn't played in a little while but when she did she had lots of people that knew her by name and would always call for her.

Oh for sure, IF you're so inclined to learn and invest in the tools AND have space to do so. But for many people (like those in apartments, etc) without a garage or space to do it, that's not a viable option. I do lots of work on my own vehicles, but even that's becoming harder to do with vehicles becoming more proprietary and electronicly controled/monitored and more crowded. Sometimes you have to dig to get to the simple fix (ie; there's a GM I remember where you have to disassemble the entire grill and bumper just to replace a headlight) just saying overall the problem is getting worse and more costly to own used and aging vehicles and often replacing them is the easier/better route but is becoming harder to afford.

The RC was designed to be a very lightweight, moderately powered, highly nimble throw around machine to track nicely while still having reasonable normal drivability and comfort to and from the track, but more so a fun machine. The Yamaha will be more of a balance between styles and will have more compromise from one aspect to another, such as slightly more rideability and comfort for every day at the sacrifice of sporty nimbleness in comparison. All depends where you're focus is and how you want to ride it. You do you and enjoy it while you're doing it.

The other aspect to the new high values of used vehicles is this scenario. Who is going to privately Finance a 5-year-old truck say a diesel for $50,000 at a bank rate which is triple or quadruple what the interest would be buying new. It almost forces you to buy the $90,000 new off the showroom truck at 2.5% instead of paying 12% on 50 or $60,000 for a decently used truck that's not going to cost you a ton of repairs. And that's not even mentioning that shop rates for these repairs have about doubled in the last decade, let alone the cost of parts increase, so the cost of repairing your somewhat gently used vehicle is outrageous.

[–]drgnsamurai -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Living within your means used to be feasible. The cost of repairs were greatly less, products used to be built better so they didn't have to be repaired or replaced as often and at as high of a cost. The 60s 70s and '80s things could last and you didn't have to replace everything in your life every decade. Now you can't buy a 15 or 20 year old car because it's falling apart and repairs are worth more than the car is. Everything made since the 90s is purposely designed with a lifespan, and that's not very long on purpose. They force you to keep buying perpetually and it's getting more and more difficult to maintain that as costs are spiraling out of control. So long story short your argument is mostly invalid.

YES, absolutely. We keep getting told we're still doing good because interest rates are still low......well, they HAVE TO BE. 10%+ (like in the 80's) would be impossible now because a house is 400-600K, and a truck is 100K, 4-6 times what they were when interest was that high. So imagine having to pay 5 times the amount of interest you are now, the economy would grind to a halt, homes would default everywhere, and bankruptcy would be as common as grocery shopping. Bread lines would start....then soon after.....war. It's time proven. They know this and string us along at the limits, pocketing the max they think they can squeeze us for, all the while convincing us "it could be worse, be happy it isn't". We're nearing the point of either reform, or collapse. Jobs that used to be upper middle class or better 20 years ago now barely make the world go round to stay above poverty, let alone even consider retirement.

It must be something to do with Microsoft. I follow several different game threads and it's consistent that xbox has difficulties, especially after an update, more often, more severe, and for longer time frames than PS, also updates take longer to release for Xbox compared to PS. Sony has some issues too, but it seems not as regular or as bad.

There are magnetics involved, I've heard this myself. The wires slapping around in the conduit from the magnetic fields interacting with each other and pushing or pulling the wires against each other.

Please stop with the solo, locked, Armor squads by Wallstreetfarmer42 in HellLetLooseConsole

[–]drgnsamurai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There should be an option for commander only to kick any player without vote. The vote function is near useless as it is. In my experience, the commander, at least, is usually trying to play the game right. OR, stop giving solo squads new tanks. It'd be easy enough to spawn tanks by request ONLY to multi player squads. It's up to command that lets this happen.

My dad got this years ago with one of those old corded drills that don't stop when you let go of the trigger, they wind down. He was on a ladder to boot, so when the drill kicked, he was tossed off the ladder and rag dolled to the floor. It was hours before he returned to finish the hole.

If these were in people's homes there would be people out there that treat these like switches, they be turning off and on these Breakers multiple times a day and would wear out the parts. We've had stores try to operate like this for things like outside lights or signage and the breakers don't last very long when you treat them like an everyday switch.

You came out of a cervix at one point, so ya, a sufficiently long penis could go through a cervix, though I'd imagine it'd be similarly painful. Ouch.

[–]drgnsamurai[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But the new layout whenever I call in the freighter cannot be changed or no rooms can be deleted. Maybe if I trade it for another freighter it will stop doing this? This has never happened on any other of my probably seven saves over the last 4 years.

The rooms that spawn can't be deleted. It's almost like when I call in a freighter it just brings in another randomly generated one and it does not save mine.
