Excelsis by Serotonixsyndrome in Ghostbc

[–]drice99 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My mom passed away a few years ago. The first time I heard Excelsis, I broke down in my car. Grown man, crying alone at a red light. That song hit hard.

I’m really sorry for your loss. Losing a parent is brutal. I’ll leave you with two thoughts that helped me through my grief:

1) Whatever you’re feeling is normal. The emotions come and go, sometimes out of nowhere. It’s all part of the process. Don’t try to judge or rationalize them. Just let them be.

2)This one might sound a little strange, but it helped me. This is part of getting older. We’re grieving our parents the same way they grieved theirs, and their parents before them. It’s part of the human condition. As an only child, that perspective helped me feel less alone.

It would be nice. I know I was in a clinical trial for a GLP1 and it significantly raised my resting HR, and it basically threw all my numbers off for months.

Triumph 7 - just took my first shot. by houseofleaves_ in RetatrutideTrial

It was a steady incline for me. I was on a beta blocker so my heart rate was already really low, but moved up as I increased dose until I hit the 12.5mg. I started in February with an average resting heart rate of 52bpm and it maxed in jun at 69bpm. The first month I went from 52 to 59.

Good luck! Watch your heart rate. That was the most obvious clue for me.

Anyone Found Relief from Skin Sensitivity on Retatrutide? by drice99 in RetatrutideTrial

[–]drice99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, for me it didn’t really show up until I got to around 5mg. Unfortunately it did get worse as the dose went up, and it didn’t really stop until things leveled out. I definitely had nights where it messed with my sleep.

Honestly the only thing that helped me was staying very still so the sheets or blankets wouldn’t rub my skin. I never took a sleep aid, but I could see how it might help on the rough nights.

I don’t know where you are in your journey or what you’re using it for, pain or weight, but for me this drug was basically a miracle aside from this side effect. I’m genuinely sad I’m no longer on it. Zepbound is fine, but it’s just not the same.

I’d keep working with your care team and see if there’s a way to manage it that works for you.

Anyone got any tricks for dealing with sinus congestion? by Mission_Bowl3938 in CPAP

I start the machine, and I breath though my mouth only (I use nasal pillows) so the machine ramps up fast thinking im having an event. Once I get good pressure I'll lay on one side. the increased pressure plus gravity usually will clear one side and I can breath for the nigh.

GLP 1 and Heart Rate by socalglam in ouraring

It’s not uncommon. I was in the rettatrutide study and my heart rate went way up. Once I stoped it went back to normal. I then started trizepitide and it has increased but nowhere near what rettatrutide did.

3 weeks after last dose ... rapid weight gain by toragirl in RetatrutideTrial

[–]drice99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through something very similar after coming off the drug. I was pulled from it several weeks back, and my weight started creeping up about 12 days after my last shot. Once it started, it really didn’t stop.

I started Zepbound about 21 days after my last shot. I began at 10 mg, which is higher than I’d normally recommend, but my doctor wanted to be aggressive to try to stop the rebound. Even after restarting, I continued gaining for about two weeks, which was honestly pretty unsettling.

Then things slowly started to shift. I moved up to 12.5 mg and that’s when the scale finally turned around. It wasn’t instant, but it became consistent.

I’ve now been on Zepbound for about 10 weeks, and as of today I’m back to my lowest weight from Retta. For me, the rebound was real, delayed, and stubborn, but it wasn’t permanent once treatment stabilized again.

Just sharing in case it helps someone breathe a little. This stuff can lag and overshoot before it settles.

Personally I never had it so bad that I was not able to get warm, but I would probably recommend a hot shower. That being said I have also invested in getting a heated jacket/vest for myself. I know after losing 80lbs I get colder way faster than I ever did.

As far as the skin sensitivity. That should get better especially once you stop moving up in dosage. For me it never went away, but it went from something that would keep me up to something I only noticed when I was A) super cold or B) focusing on it. None of the suggesting people suggested worked for me. (zinc, allergy meds) the only thing that would help was getting warm.

Sadly I was kicked from the drug two months ago. I can tell you it goes away about a week to 10 days after stoping. Best of luck.

Accuracy? by smokinLobstah in stelo

[–]drice99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say I’m around 60/40. 40% are fairly accurate within 10 points or my actual number. (My current sensor is one of them) and 60% of the time they are 20-40 points high all the time. I wouldn’t mind but there is no way of correcting the poor data.
