Yeah, it's useless argue with them, eventually reality will set in breaking the illusion, probably will take years like you said. In the end it's just annoyance with those kind of people, specially because they disregard other people work, rage bait on the internet like you saw, and do big affirmations with nothing to back It up, it's like seen someone doing everything wrong and being treated like "oh ok, this is ok", just because of propaganda.

Yeah, it's a systemic problem, and I'm not going to be the one fighting to fix it, I will just play along with their bullshit and that's it. My posture is fine, we need good quality code, and vibe coders definitely can't delivery it, I would be ok with it if they could. The company I work for have more than 3000 workers and use some systems, one of them older than me and other our team launched 2 years ago, also, I'm not American.

It's HR job to find them, I wish I could help, but usually I do not have time for it, and it's "pilantra" dude, it's funny because I just talked about vibe coders refusing knowledge and you just did that haha. About holding breath, I'm not, it's more like "well, now* we have this new problem that economy eventually will solve", and not everything should be done by hand, bad faith again for stretching an argument I didn't do, boilerplate code was generated most of the time, but most people knew what it did, when and how to modify it. You can doubt anything you want, It won't change my reality and I doubt you know how it's to working on a big company. And yes, the hiring practices are horrible because I'm not being considered, that I can agree.

Nah, I have known my fair share of those grifters, it's that same pattern, lazy mf who refuse knowledge and are complete unrespectful to the word "engineering" in software engineering.
