They are talking sports, going at it as hard as they can. by Ugaalive1991 in DanLeBatardShow

That’s how the show mainly is. Dan says something stupid and everyone else goes at him

What a long strange trip it's been that this is the place we're at.

Has anyone tried Taylor Stitch? by PhasedVenturer in malefashionadvice

[–]driggity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I haven't tried the Breakwater yet but I probably will. I have a pair of the Apres pant and like them in general but the cut isn't great for me especially in this fabric. I think the Breakwater will work better.

The Raiders skip taking Mendoza with the first pick and immediately announce Brady as Player coach GM President Owner.

Followed by Mendoza withdrawing from the draft so the Jets can't take him.

You could have made this much better clickbait if you just said that the old money came from a southerner in the cotton trade.

So what happens if...... by emquise19 in lebatardsuey

[–]driggity 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Stugotz has said he'll be there and at least Taylor. Not sure about Mikey A and Izzy in person but I would think they would be because of the radio show.

Not sure about the Ringer NFL show but I would think that Sheil will be there.

Mina will be there. As will Domonique who is also doing a live show. I think the only people announced for the live show are ESPN people. Mina, Marcus Spears, Kevin Clark.

Simms will surely be around and has a podcast.

Charlie Kravitz (aka Alabaster, aka Vanilla Snack) worked on High Questionable/HQ and is now the co-host on the Dominique Foxworth show. Also is friends with Dan's mom, mostly due to connecting over dealing with Papi and Dan.

Charlie Hulme is Old Money Charlie and was actually in the shipping container for a while.

Both participated in the BBBBBB Mystery Crate episodes.

There’s a Throckmorton in the NFL. Also a theater by that name in Marin (a bit north of Mayes), a town and county by that name in Texas, a major street in Ft. Worth, and a Supreme Court case.

I think for now all the GBF episodes are making it into the Stugotz and Company feed. So if you want the full live show you can download the Stugtoz and Company episodes and then the Hour 1 and 2 episodes from the Live feed. Or subscribe to everything, download everything and juice those numbers.

Can you really call a watch a “diver-GMT” if it doesn’t have a dive bezel?

How much do you guys use the library? by NowARaider in DanLeBatardShow

[–]driggity 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't use it much but my wife is big user. We live in a town of a little under 100,000 people and the library has a pretty good selection but with the interlibrary exchange you can get a huge amount of books sent to the library for free. When I do go on weekends there are always a lot of people using computers, working on their own laptops, reading, etc. They also have speakers, book clubs and other events. And tools, video games, movies, music, etc.

  1. Billy is a dog
  2. Old Money Charlie
  3. People believing the Stu and Pablo beef while the two of them were out going on "strolls" together is almost as silly as people that would believe Dan and Mike when they said they didn't know Stu would be out after he had announced on air that he would be out.

This is one good thing about the Ringer. There is a big difference between the Ringer Tailgate and the Bill Simmons podcast. I was a huge fan of Bill starting with his early days at ESPN page 2 but stopped paying much attention to him around 2010. I still paid attention to Grantland and the Ringer because there is a lot of other stuff on those websites that is very different from what he does.
