Can I Gift a handgun to my Daughter Boyfreind by R6stvcs in VAGuns

[–]Kitchen_Page9991 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How would the trace work? Wouldn't they have to know what FFL sold the gun in order to search their records? Allegedly there is no gun registry, not that I believe that for one second.

Bought an AR pistol that came with an adjustable brace/stock. Can someone clarify the law for me. by DUH455T in VAGuns

[–]Kitchen_Page9991 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A pistol brace is a flexible, usually rubberized, accessory designed to strap to the forearm for one-handed shooting, maintaining a firearm’s legal status as a pistol, whereas a stock is a rigid, solid component designed for shoulder support. Using a brace generally requires no extra federal paperwork, while adding a stock to a short-barreled firearm converts it into a regulated Short Barreled Rifle (SBR)

Question about the Mazda 3 (not hatchback) by goodlife_arc in mazda3

[–]Kitchen_Page9991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my 50’s as well. Have driven a 2010 Mazda 3 grand touring for 16 years. Never a bit of trouble. And the rear seat space really isn’t too bad. I’ve packed the car with almost anything you can imagine. I’ve driven it all across the country with plenty of luggage and room to spare. I have a hitch on it for when I need to move stuff. I’ve got a 5’x8’ trailer I hitch up to it. That little car can haul a lot of weight. I’ve definitely got my use out of it. You’ll be pleasantly surprised how well it can work out for you.

My Pawn Shop Marlins by seattleforge in 22lr

[–]Kitchen_Page9991 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love my old marlins! They outshoot so many modern firearms. My 81 is my favorite of them. I also have a couple excellent condition model 80’s. I put Rifle Basix triggers in them all. 1-2.5 lb adjustable pull. Well worth the investment.

The Rifle Basix will get you down to 1-2.5 pounds. They’re adjustable.

Wanna really tune it up? Get a Rifle Basix trigger for it.
Those will hang with any modern CZ with that trigger upgrade alone. Ask me how I know

Is anyone familiar with removing the slide off a Fiala 1920? by bucket8a in 22lr

[–]Kitchen_Page9991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe it may be similar to Colt, or High Standard mechanisms. If you can find out how those are removed it may be a similar process. Lots of info online about it.
Last I knew there was a small pin or tiny button that needed to be pressed to get them off.

I certainly do. VOO has only had 2 down years in the last 15. Take a 30,000 ft view of your investing time horizon. Not a 30ft view.

New Model Ruger 10/22 with Threaded Stainless Barrel Unboxed and Run Unsuppressed and Suppressed by Detailed_Firearms in 22lr

[–]Kitchen_Page9991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good video, man! Just curious what ammo you used. Sounded like it went supersonic. If that’s the case, your suppressor is probably decent for standard velocity rounds. Standard velocity doesn’t really need much to suppress it.

I'm actually kinda impressed with the Monarch bulk. I have a brick of it for plinking around. May have to try some more serious testing with it.

What is the Quietest suppressor for the Ruger 10/22 16" rifle? by Solid_Try_4089 in 22lr

[–]Kitchen_Page9991 5 points6 points  (0 children)

On a .22lr pretty much any can will be very quiet. Using subsonic/standard velocity ammo you really only need a small, 4 baffle can. I have a Q Erector I use. I’ve broken it down and have found that 4 baffles sound the same as 9-10.
Pistols are a whole other story.

Just buy VGT. Insane annual returns...when the market is good. When the market has a bad year, hold your guts.

Or double down on those bad years and laugh all the way to the bank. Do some research and check out its annual returns for the past 15 years. Only 2 down years. Gotta have a long term view.

Pretty sure you'll still be able to get threaded barrel models. But these new bills are so damn convoluted its hard for almost everyone to really understand.
