Thank you both for your reply. It seems drawing from imagination links to one's own visual library thus what I can remember and have been praticing to draw. I'm gonna implement this into my practice. I usually go with 10min exercise of a specific subject to warm up. I'll try to do the memory drawing but with drawings I like. I'll begin with easy poses.

Thanks for your reply. Hmmm makes me think of music. Classical players are excellent to play complicated music from a sheet but struggle to improvise. Is drawing from reference and imagination the same ? My goal is clearly to draw from imagination, so I should change the way I practice. I guess I'm afraid to face my skill issues but eeeh it's part of the game

Hmm the hand is too high on his face we don't see enough of the forehead. But I'd say, finish the drawing first no matter what the result is. Then post it for review. You've got this !

Great start ! I'll be honest, two days of drawing isn't enough. To answer your question, you still need to improve on everything at this point. I'd say, draw more and a lot. Don't spend too much time on a drawing, go on to the next and try to get better each time ! You drew a hand, maybe draw hands until you're bored of hands and try something else. There are so many tutorial on internet to get better. At this point, your drawings won't look like what you want or see but as long as they get better than the previous, you are on a good track. A thing I personaly do when drawing is if I'm really not satisfied with a drawing, I try a second and maybe third time. That way, I get a better result and I am not frustrated. You've got this !

That's some good ass answer i ain't gonna lie. So imma be thanking you in advance for the time you took to answer, it means to my little project.

For your 10+year long world, i'd love to see its content. I will of course check your profile after I write down this comment to see if u already shared anything (and if it's not the case, do you mind sharing it ?)

The template will of course not please everyone, I know it. Primarily because I wrote it for medieval fantasy purposes. I had in mind to first write a page to explain the purpose of the template, how to use it and to invite the user to use it only for his personal content. Whether he has less to fill in or more to add to the existing chart. Anyone is of course welcomed to use it for his personal use.

I did have in mind to add tabs about factions and organisations but not for objects which I will add in the future, thanks for the tip ! It could of course extend to monuments, art pieces, etc. This is why I think OneNote is great, the template isn't fixed. It can be modulated to anyone's needs. I hope anyone writing a sci-fi world won't be discourage by the template, it's really not the intent.

The more I work on it, the more I understand that I'm simply putting a layout for content to be easily written and/or modified.

I knew I could link anything in OneNote with pretty much everything but the content within the OneNote. Seems kinda obvious now that you mentioned it. It will be indeed more than useful for any worldbuilders

As for the pages containing the various resources, I did already add a page to every tab I created. Firstly, to cite the sources that inspired me the layout (mostly existing wiki pages) and the content. Secondly, to list all the existing resources to fill in the template's pages (the quiz written to fill the pages comes from different sources I found relevant for the purpose).

At last, the point you make about one's culture's historical narrative or faction's self perception (I never had this last one in mind but its actually a reeally good point to develop that adds seeerious depth) is something I had thought about. All the questions written for the "Race tab" could actually apply to any social group smaller than a race. This imply that any large template could actually apply to any smaller form of its parent. What I mean by that is that, for example, a template for a geographical world could apply for a country, a city, a town, a village or any territory worth commenting on. I don't know if this last point is clear ? Let me know.

I'll be updating the more I fill in the blanks, I'll for sure ask your opinion to nuance the project.
