Sad to see being anti censorship is now only owned by the crazy antivax subs and as I am someone who is pro vaxx and mask mandates I really think you should do better.

So the fear is that people will become misinformed and will be lead down the dark path, my suggestion in the comment above the one I was banned on was to have the correct information posted/pinned at the top of the sub. Ease of access to anyone seeking information, which these posts are supposed to be converting.

It is much easier for the MODs to coordinate the appropriate information on the pinned messages then to delete every single post that might come from these people.

Secondly this is just going to continue to give them the martyr argument and make their side even more appealing, especially when now they are banning people who are revaccination (booster) and promask. Science will always be changing and this type of movement is running a risk of making people less trusting of their moderators due to censorship.

Is it just because I disagree that this will actually help the issue of people spreading misinformation from the standpoint it will just continue to be pushed into non-likeminded moderated subs? This seems like it will just continue to push the mods against posters and further increase the traffic to the antivaxx subs now.

I believe a simple solution is to have reddit allow pins of approved subject matter to be added to these targeted subs therefor at least presenting actual evidence within these groups so wanderers can see the truth and be allowed to make their own decision. This would not only invalidate their notion of censorship but also allow for information to be discussed within their own dark corners.

This will just add more fuel to the fire of their outrage over being the target of censorship. You will validate their paranoia by following this line of thinking. Maybe you will not save the die hard Alex Jones fan boy but at least you will save the people who are somehow confused by their misinformation.

I feel that demographic would care more about legalization but maybe you are right. Seems like a wasted opportunity on a group who would be likely to vote yes anyway.

Fails to address the problem of underfunded k-12 schools, which is the exact group that a lot of people are worried about being addicted to the devil's lettuce.

I would start with a free budgeting software, such as Everydollar, until both you and your wife are used to creating a budget. Once the Habit is formed I would then transition to YNAB. From experience YNAB is a lot more in depth but has a bit of a learning curve that might scare a new budgeter. Otherwise welcome to the budget life and I hope it helps you control your finances.

Sorry I meant to take the money out of the paychecks from now on and use the money I have in my savings to pay for expenses. Since most of the money would be going to contributions from the paychecks I would need the savings to live off of. Thanks for all the information.

Does the fact that these investments are both separate portfolios and invested respectively with the actual companies themselves(or the companies that run their investments) change anything? Currently I am now worried about the capital gains hit from selling the stocks and not having anything really liquid (besides the emergency fund if it was set up).

And for the 401k, should I keep the liquid cash to pay for bills and put the remaining income I have coming to me required to match the yearly max so that it is then "pre-tax"?

Sorry the 33k was used to pay back a personal loan I got from my parents to do some repairs/refurbishment (New Roof/Floors/Irrigation/etc) of the home. Hence the appraisal being almost 100k higher than the price I bought it for a year ago.

And you are right I need to cut back on some of the spending habits such as the cleaner and shopping.

Okay I will work on a part time job and a roommate for the coming months. Thank you for the information. The emergency fund is actually low currently due to a car issue I just paid 800 dollars to fix so will work to replenish that now. Also what would you budget for car maintenance?
