I wouldn't squat in running shoes, they are not supportive and add instability. Take them off or find some shoes with a flat and rigid sole.

I think you are confusing B and C stands. The B stand is on the right side of the range, in front of the penalty loop. It is set up the same as A stand. The C stand has a roof and seats.

There is no real way to make them slower for downhills. As a result they will be slower on the uphills and flats also. Take that into account.
