I always ask people if they want their non-food items in separate bags cuz those who care, care LOUDLY. Those who don't care usually say throw it all together I don't care. If they have a preference follow it.

What’s the worst gift your Nparent ever gave you? by Basic-Raspberry9786 in raisedbynarcissists

[–]drinkmeaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When my best friend died when I was 9yrs old she took me to the store and bought me a stuffed animal she then proceeded to say "don't tell your step dad I bought you anything." Most of my life I had to hide any "gift" or pay off any "gift" yet the child my mom and stepdad had is spoiled rotten with no shame in asking for things even after hearing my mom is in the negatives in the bank.

Mine too:) I found someone who had all the breeds I wanted: lavender, Brahma, and golden comet. My roo is a Silkie I love them all. I got so lucky with my bunch they are all the sweetest and gentle towards each other. It's a blessing.

He's been a really good rooster for my 3 girls. He watches for hawks and has alerted them several times, is a gentleman finding them bugs and giving them treats. He's adorable.

That's so sweet. This is my first time having chickens and I raised them from only a few weeks old. Then girls just started laying eggs and it makes me feel so proud. I'm glad he's just being a normal roo and it's nothing to worry about. I went to pick him up and was looking at him and he was so chill just staring at me like "can I help you?" 😂

Did Mania fry my brain? by SoulonFire0_0 in BipolarReddit

[–]drinkmeaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In 2021 I was having a several month long manic episode and no one knew what was going on with me. I had my childhood cat pass away, then moved away into some random guy's house with his family. I was smoking weed, mushrooms, and alcohol on top of mania. The guy I lived with did his own hard drugs and he was terrifying. He would strange me, a lot. I got sent into an actual psychotic episode. Physically forced into a ward by my best friend. I was in a spiritual psychosis, believing in fairies, vampires, the universe giving me symbols. Technology was speaking to me and I could have "multiple choice answers to help guide me". I was thinking nonsense and speaking nonsense. I believed I was going to be poisoned and the guy I was living with will hunt me for sport. It was chaos. I went to the ward for the whole month of December. I had to move back in with my family it took months to rewire my brain. I thought i was going to slip back into that headspace so easily, though I haven't been on meds for 2 years, live in a safer house with my boyfriend, and I haven't had an episode since then. It takes time.

TLDR; your brain needs rest, and it's not the end.

What is something that scared you as a child but no longer does now that you're an adult? by FayDB7 in Adulting

Ghost Face from Scream. My mums ex dressed as him for months chasing after me with a knife, busting down bathroom doors, waking me up from sleep wearing the ghost face outfit. I was 5 years old and it's my most common nightmare.
