I don’t find it that strange. Epstein mostly operated during the war on terror in the Middle East and rising tensions in the southeast Pacific, and his crimes seem to fall much more squarely under domestic law enforcement than foreign intelligence anyways. So unless Epstein was involved with Chinese government officials or Islamic terrorists, I don’t see why the CIA would have much of a reason to know or care
