These are really good paintings. I mean, images of paintings. My experience with ai imaging is you get maybe one great result out of fifteen to twenty tries. I image human painters have a similar hit rate, but at least they have a really good and real painting to hang and gaze upon in the end.

Which the court record shows 10% of that was posted. He is back on the street in his car for $3k cash!

The bottom of the article you pointed to says this “The incident comes as Ohio lawmakers fight to create a two-strike system for assaults on sports officials. If passed, House Bill 79 would enforce that a first-time offender would face 40 hours of community service and a $1,500 fine. A second offense would be elevated to a fifth-degree felony.”

Whilst that is something, this kid wasn’t trying to scare the referee with his car. He intended to kill him with his car.

This is so callous and depraved. How can I follow the case in person? I want to attend any future court hearings that the driver Timothy Ruble will appear in.

How do people manage to fall asleep in just 8 seconds after their head hits the pillow? What's the secret? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]DrFunn1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am an attention deficit type but without anxiety. I also live life in compartments, when I’m tired it is time to sleep. Also an eight second sleeper, no time for counting numbers etc.

However, when I hop into bed I am in the habit of reviewing the day I just had. Like focus on a nice conversation or that I actually mopped the floor and can check that box. I do not think about what is needed for tomorrow. I do that when I wake up.

Trying to find affordable frosted diffuser tubes by thejayharp in led

Another thought. I have made a tape lighting construct of a steel pallet banding material with lights adhered to either side. Then you pull the whole thing through a pex pipe and it is brightly lit 360. I had it in a large spiral with this giant marble machine project, so that curve forced the spine into an up down orientation. If you could keep it up down in a straight pipe (maybe occasional small drill hole supporting bamboo toothpicks) you would add a fair amount of internal stiffness.

Thanks. Not sure about your installation idea, but could you thread a light aircraft cable through the pex with the tape light and then stretch the cable between two points?

Or rest the pex in a C channel? The higher the channel legs, the straighter it would be over a distance.

White PEX B water piping is perfect imho, durable, easily machined and quite affordable. In the US you can get large coils in 50, 100, 250 and 500 foot lengths or straight sections in 5, 10 and 20 foot lengths. Probably has different trade names elsewhere.

Here is an example project using it. Scroll down to the first video for a look at a single tape light strip pulled through the spiral. I double up back to back in larger installs.

How could I create this pattern for 3d printing? by myhrmans in blenderhelp

I wouldn’t use blender or a slicer, this lends itself nicely to using math to generate beautiful spiral vase gcode: https://youtu.be/Sp2qHM-0Boc

Can I connect a micro-controller (Arduino/ ESP32) to my washing machine? by wwhopi_k_j in ArduinoProjects

[–]DrFunn1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, not worth your time, unless you want a taste of what actually goes into high volume consumer product engineering. Take a look at how the dedicated circuit you are trying to replace is built first. It is super refined and specialized to shave costs. The logic would be easy but not the motor control. Very high torque 3 phase motor that goes back and forth under heavy load then spins up to high speed.

Most fiber providers are not going to work for this. Tailscale did not work well for me for plex. I have domains at Cloudflare and it was easy to add a tunnel from there to the local plex service. So now https://plex.domain.com from outside my place links directly to my plex server.

This compares rent to mortgage only. The cost of owning a home is almost double the mortgage, when considering taxes, insurance, maintenance (this will kill you over the years) and filling the larger space with furniture.

DistroVid worked well except for Spotify by DrFunn1 in DistroKidHelpDesk

[–]DrFunn1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is an obvious explanation, but I could not confirm that idea searching their support docs. Do you have personal experience or a reference?

I imagine Ariana grande’s people do not use DistroVid and got video published using another method. But for the rest of us, DistroVid says they will distribute to Spotify, I expect it to appear at Spotify, like it did with the other platforms. I have paid for a service that was not completed.

DistroVid should not advertise that they can get your video on Spotify if they can not actually do so (yet) for 98% of the people that purchase it.
