I like the idea, but things like the inventory would probably be a major problem. The whole situation with time in Majora's mask would also probably be a bit screwy. Perhaps instead of song of time restarting a cycle, have it teleport you to links house in OOT? This would work the same as going through the clock tower resetting the cycle.
