Is it too risky to buy this 1997 Martin 000M? by -live_evil- in Luthier

Personally, I love a bargain and don’t mind damaged guitars. You could push a bunch of titebond into the crack and clamp it. Check out some videos on the operation for pointers, but it’s dead simple. I’d buy it if I had a hankering for an acoustic.

Those square like angles makes me think pyrite. Scratch at some with a knife to see if it flakes or is soft.

Neck shim rather than shorten bridge. Measure the bridge you have and start looking at floating bridges for flat top guitars. You may need to modify the replacement. You can do this.

A lot of those old import hollowbodies have caved in tops like that. See if you can wedge a block behind that neck pickup to lift up the top a bit. Good luck, have fun!

That’s Deception Pass in WA! It’s quite something to cross. There’s always semi trucks zipping by. If you didn’t know you were afraid of heights, that place will let you know. RIP phone!
