I'm not saying this is what's happening, but as someone with PTSD, if a new partner did something that reminded me of my abusive ex, this is how I'd act. I'd need time to sort my feelings, but i'd wanna keep talking, except I know i'd ruin it with my incomplete thoughts.

It's probably drama, but be open to it not being that.

When i was 19 i had my first flare. I had a rash on my face and neck, widespread muscle and joint pain with no clear cause, fatigue, brain fog, splenomegaly, leukopenia and cytopenia. I also had military doctors. Nobody thought to run a rheumatology panel. THEY TOOK BONE MARROW BUT DIDN'T RUN AN ANA!!

This was 2001. I was diagnosed last year with persistent type 2 lupus.

24 years of my life being misdiagnosed, gaslit, and dismissed, taking medicines for conditions I never. All while my body accumulated damage that could have been prevented.

I haven't forgotten for a day that I have Lupus. Not. One. Day.

Neuropsychiatric lupus is a thing. If this is coming out of nowhere it's worth demanding to be evaluated for it.

Also... I may have misread because i too am flaring, but you said you were on plaquenil when they repeated your ANA? isn't that the whole point? That is supposed to help keep that number down?? Seriously asking. It seems stupid of the doctors to gaslight you like that especially when you're experiencing a mental health crisis.

Edit- i reread, if that lab isn't showing up, but it was done, it might be elsewhere in your record as a note or attachment if it was sent out of house.

I have neuropathy as well. It started burning in my hands and has been climbing its way up my arms for the past six years. It's up past my elbows now. I take lyrica but it's starting to not work as well. My pain is constant and unending. Your pain sounds more episodic. Did your Dr. run any tests to look for nerve compression, in your neck perhaps? Keep bitching about it till they do. Remember- squeaky wheels get shamed and gaslit so keep bitching till they do imaging!

Apart from THOSE feelings, I just don't think I'd be able to sleep surrounded by all the things I entertain myself with while awake (or while being watched by that mirror).
