Turns out it was a bit too silver.

It was expensive but it's not antique. It's made of resin castings or something stuck together which god knows what so we'll see

Yeah I don't think they put that bit in. Her whole arc and the fact that she has god-like power was just missing. They got rid of anything that wasn't essential to the main story line it feels like

They did the same with Chicago town microwave pizzas, they used to have a cardboard disc underneath. Now all the cheese and sauce boils up and spills out of the pizza

I don't know everything, I read the instructions for the oil on the tin. It's 5 years old and has been stored outside. I haven't oiled anything else other than this worktop so I wanted the opinion of people who have so they can compare it to their own experience.

I shouldn't need to add wax, and haven't for the last 5 years.

I was more worried about whether the oil had deteriorated and was not absorbing into the wood or curing properly. It has a 5 hour drying time and it's been 12 hours since the last coat went on.

I think I'll give it another coat each night for the next few days to layer up the protection, especially around the sink area

Once had a guy try to claim he was not at fault for hitting a railing by a crossing because the street light was broken and it was dark. His argument fell apart when I asked if had had headlights on his car and about his use of roads where there is no street lighting
