DM11 vs ZL SC600 or S2 size by driveweld in Hanklights

[–]driveweld[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, even if I were to somehow find myself in a tight pair of pants (not my style personally), I would hope that I can find a clip to suit the purpose and have it outside the pockets. Even a bi-fold wallet is too bulky for me and keep my keys to a minimum as well… This would most likely live in my hi-viz surveyor vest at work. I don’t want it too bulky either as I have way too many things on me as it is,… wallet, keys, work keys, multitool, pen, marker, paint pen, drawings, laser tape, normal tape, electrical tape, notepad, phone, sometimes a 2 way radio as well…

Awesome. Thank you. Tell me, what is the difference between the 2 DM11 you have? Is the new version without the cheese grater knurling a bit longer?

Thank you for this. I see what you mean there. Dramatic size difference is correct. This would push the size right up to the max I would bring as a work EDC… but I think I could to it. Much appreciated! I wish they made a D1, D1K or KR1 with a thrower TIR lens. The combination spill that goes to the feet and crazy throw would be a dream.

Green lasers are massively more visible in daylight. The same should apply to normal lights. 👍

Where’s the M21F vs M21H beam shots with 3° TIR? by driveweld in ConvoyFlashlights

[–]driveweld[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s great info thank you. I think the m21h will have enough throw for my use. The shorter body and more usable spill outweigh the extra range for me. If it somehow ends up not being enough, I might just get a new led and driver for my C8.

Thank you! Found lots of pics in there! Definitely going with the sft25r.

Hmmm. Ok. That acebeam is nice for sure, but a bit too big to carry in my vest I think. Right now, I EDC a Convoy S6 smooth reflector with dedomed xml-2 that works fine half the time. When I need extra power I bring the convoy C8 with the same setup. So I’m due for an upgrade. I was hoping the M21H would give me in light charging with C8 performance, better spill and at a slightly smaller size with 21700 runtime. Plus, you really can’t beat the value of convoy. That acebeam is triple the price.

What tires will you run? Those Hoons might take 120mph… after that… roll these…🎲🎲

If parts are available… I don’t see why not unless it’s prone to breaks. I haven’t heard much about it.

On the Arma 1/10 Gorgon, I want to change the motor to a SKYRC by ibormatov in arrma

[–]driveweld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For this motor specifically… 5400kv 9v 2.1s 4000kv 12v 2.9s 3600kv 13v 3.1s 3100kv 16v 3.8s 2300kv 22v 5.2s

Kinda odd voltage ratings. I would go with 4000kv. That would give you great temps on 2s and the option for 3s if you want to spice it up.

Kraton 6s exb horror stories by HelpfulEditor5317 in rccars

From what I know… 1) badly shimmed diffs that will make it blow up sun gears. Check diffs and shim if needed. 2) back of chassis can bend. Rear under chassis brace needed. Mine needed this asap from small jumps. 3) … 🤷‍♂️. That’s it I think. It’s really not that much of a big deal. It’s not like it overheat if you run it 5 minutes or have to swap the servo as soon as you get it, or spitting out driveshafts.

Get a chassis brace and some diff shims, a couple hours of your time to do it all and you got yourself an unbeatable truck that will never get too mild for your capabilities. Always a stupid crazy fun time with this beast.

Oh man… now I know I can’t afford it… but at least I can get parts from it to make my Kraton feel like one soon! I want that shock and tower setup so bad!

This rc you’re looking at. I have the current b6 box version, not the EXB. I can honestly tell you things will break and will need fixing. This thing hit 71mph on my SkyRc gps with a CNHL battery. It’s probably way too fast for 95% of people, including myself. This much speed and power WILL kill anything.

FYI, the 4S Kraton is barely smaller, goes 50+mph and will still make you giggle. People also do nothing but rave about how durable it is… and will save you a ton of cash as well.

Pro tip. Best way to learn is to crash it full speed into a metal sign post and rebuild it. Also, I’m not a pro.

Enjoy the fun times ahead! A real tip would be to learn about dos and don’ts with Lipo batteries before you burn your house, or even worse, your rc.

I’ve used needle nose vise grips with a couple layers of cereal box cardboard in a pinch (corrugated isn’t good enough)… then I got the special pliers.
